On a two-person dinner course, one chicken steak was swapped for Jeju stone octopus steak and one beef steak for lobster, with everything from abalone ceviche to pavlova dessert in between. A reservation-only course restaurant in a stone-walled Jeju village
'Nansan-ri Restaurant' sits in the quiet, pretty countryside village of Nansan-ri in Seongsan-eup, Jeju, as a reservation-only course dining spot.

Using Jeju's seasonal ingredients, the chef carefully composes original dishes, and word has already spread — this place has become something of a sacred ground for course dining among Seongsan, Jeju restaurant lovers.

It's a healing space where, in a quiet and warm setting, you can focus entirely on the food and the atmosphere.

Dinner course for two: mains swapped to stone octopus and lobster
We booked the two-person dinner course at Nansan-ri Restaurant. The dinner course composition is as below, and you can additionally order various drinks.

- ✔️ Two-person dinner course
- ✔️ 1 chicken steak, 1 Jeju stone octopus steak (chicken → octopus swap)
- ✔️ 1 beef steak, 1 lobster (beef → lobster swap)
- ⭐️ We wanted to try everything, so we swapped one of each main.
From abalone ceviche to risotto, the Nansan-ri course dish by dish
The Nansan-ri Restaurant dinner course started with abalone ceviche.

The texture of the abalone and various seafood paired well with the tomato sauce, and it built anticipation for the next course!

The chewiness of fresh Korean beef met the crunch of the tartare in a savory, fun bite, and that cream shrimp⭐️⭐️ — plump shrimp meat with a creamy sauce — was delicious.

Romaine topped with cheese and bacon, dipped in beet sauce, was sweet, sour and salty all at once — like eating meat disguised as romaine!

This chicken steak⭐️⭐️⭐️ — I honestly didn't expect much, thinking how good can chicken really be, but maybe that's exactly why it ended up being my favorite!! Crispy outside, juicy inside, and with the carrot purée sauce and a slice of lemon on top, the flavor really opened my eyes~

The chewy texture of the stone octopus was fun and delicious too,

And this risotto!⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eaten with that white sauce, I couldn't put my spoon down. The rice grains had such a good plump texture that I felt sad as I got close to finishing it — but luckily they refilled it for us once more, which made me so happy 🧡
The beef steak, cooked medium rare, melted in my mouth — no explanation needed.
The lobster meat was plump and paired so well with the beurre blanc sauce (a lemon butter sauce, I think?). By the end I'd wiped up every bit of the sauce...! (Glad I swapped to lobster.)

Pavlova dessert and a glass of non-alcoholic rosé wine
The finale of the Nansan-ri Restaurant dinner course was a pavlova dessert. This pavlova (a cake made on a meringue base) was a dessert composition I'd never tried before. With meringue cookies underneath, ice cream, and a flower made of kiwi on top, it wrapped up the course cleanly.

I don't know the first thing about wine, but I ordered a glass of rosé wine just to set the mood. The rosé was clean, not sweet, and paired really well with the course, elevating the flavors and wrapping up the meal neatly!
Is the Nansan-ri Restaurant dinner course worth it?
- Food & course composition: ★★★★★ (Jeju's freshness fills your mouth — a perfect balance you can feel the chef's care in!)
- Atmosphere & service: ★★★★★ (Private, cozy atmosphere, thoughtful and kind menu explanations)
- Location & value: ★★★★★ (A healing course near Seongsan, extremely satisfying course quality for the atmosphere)
If you want an unforgettable, elegant, and emotional course meal in Seongsan, Jeju, or if you're planning something special with someone you love, I strongly recommend 'Nansan-ri Restaurant'. You'll be so caught up in the flavors and atmosphere that all your travel fatigue will melt away. I'm 10000% planning to come back on my next Jeju trip! 🥰
