Knit mini tote bag for winter daily carry: Meda Bag

Why did I choose a knit mini tote bag for winter?

I usually carry leather bags, but they felt cold in winter. While looking for a mini tote bag that looked warm, I tried the Meda Bag knit bag.

How were the colors and knit?

There were six colors: dark green, orange, brown, beige, ivory, and green. I chose beige because I did not have a light-colored bag.

It had a tightly knitted feel, so I was less worried that it would stretch out or sag during use.

What are the size and shape like for local outings?

It measures 40 cm wide, 25 cm high, and 10 cm deep. It felt like a good size for popping out around the neighborhood, and the attached accessory looked convenient for keeping car keys.

Inside the bag, a woven panel supports the weight, so it held its shape well. I pay close attention to whether a bag supports the bottom when I pack it, and I was pleased with this.

How much fits when going to a café?

I used it for grocery shopping and café visits on weekends. I packed the things I bring for a light outing, such as a card wallet, diary, lip balm, and earphones.

Even after putting in quite a few small items, there was room left. The bag felt sturdy, so I thought it would not lose its shape even when filled with a diary.

Were the closure and handles convenient to use?

It closes with magnets, so I worried less about things falling out. I normally prefer magnetic closures to snap buttons and zippers, and the magnets felt fairly large, as though they held the bag securely.

Could I carry it in seasons other than winter?

I am using it for winter, but because the knit does not shed, I think it would work easily through all four seasons. The handles are fairly padded too, so they seemed like they would put less strain on my hands when the bag gets heavier.
