Sadang izakaya basement annex date: Kirin draft and gwangban-yuksa

Susan Sadang Main Branch is an izakaya near Sadang Station in Dongjak, Seoul, serving aged sashimi and a wide range of drinking snacks. Instead of the indoor pojangmacha feel of the first floor, the writer booked a reservation seat in the quieter basement annex and ordered gwangban-yuksa (half flounder sashimi, half beef yuksashimi), sweet shrimp buckwheat noodles and Kirin draft beer, with a welcome sake to start. The aged sashimi quality and the side dishes were both satisfying, making Susan Sadang Main Branch a good fit for dates and group nights alike.

Gasan Digital Complex Japanese restaurant: unagidong for two, Gapposo

Gapposo is a Japanese restaurant on the first floor of Hyundai Terra Tower Gasan DK, by Gasan Digital Complex Station in Geumcheon, Seoul, run by a chef who trained at five-star hotels. On a weekday evening with a friend who was close to giving birth, the writer ordered the sharing set for two (59,000 won), added a single unagidong (eel rice bowl, 20,000 won), and split one sawa highball and one non-alcoholic highball. Because the set brings kaisendon (seafood rice bowl), unagidong, karaage and mini udon out together, the sharing menu is the one to order when there are two of you.
