Hapjeong Indian curry lunch set at 12,000 won: Mandala Indian Lounge

Mandala Indian Lounge is an Indian restaurant on the 3rd floor about 268m from Hapjeong Station Exit 3, in Mapo, Seoul. The weekday lunch set is 12,000 won per person and includes a curry, plain naan and rice; two people ordered chicken makhani and chicken tikka masala, adding butter naan, butter garlic naan and a strawberry lassi. Sharing two curries between two makes for a filling lunch at Mandala Indian Lounge that never gets boring.

Sinchon bar with private rooms for 5 and cheese egg roll: Yeokjeon

Yeokjeon Pojangmacha Sinchon Branch is a Korean pub about 362m from Sinchon Station Exit 2 in Seodaemun, Seoul, with large tables and private rooms for groups. Five friends ordered Sinchon dakdoritang (spicy braised chicken, 25,900 won) at spice level 1, plus cheesy potato pancake, cheese egg roll and self-fried rice, and soju at 3,900 won with draft beer at 2,900 won kept the bill light. The cheesy sides paired well with the spicy chicken, making Yeokjeon Pojangmacha Sinchon Branch a solid pick for a group night out in Sinchon.
