Mongjubang Hongdae Branch (몽주방 홍대점) is a Sangsu Station bar about 450 m from Exit 1. There are lots of great places to eat nearby too, so it’s a really good spot to come for drinks after hanging out around Hapjeong or Sangsu~~

Terrace-style seats and a great atmosphere

Here’s the inside of Mongjubang Hongdae Branch. Wow, the atmosphere is so nice! There are terrace-style outdoor seats too, so it’s great for enjoying a drink and setting the mood, haha. The place is quiet overall, so I highly recommend it for a date or even a first meeting!

When you come to a bar, you have to order drinks right away, right~? It was a weekday, and I wanted to shake off the fatigue after work, so I went with a refreshing draft beer!! A glass of draft beer just wipes away the day’s tiredness~~ ><

Kimchi stew with a whole thick piece of pork belly

Here’s today’s star, the pork belly kimchi stew! I ordered it right away, and wow, the presentation is on another level. There’s a whole thick piece of pork belly in there! It’s also packed with soft tofu and aged kimchi~~

Tangy, crispy lemon cream karaage

And the lemon cream karaage too~! This karaage was so distinctive and delicious, haha. The lemon cream makes it much tangier, and I think the coating is glutinous-rice batter, a bit like yuringi. Crispy yet tender karaage—it was the best bar snack.

Every dish was sooo delicious, and I highly recommend Mongjubang Hongdae Branch, a Hapjeong bar with a lovely atmosphere where the drinks go down so easily~~!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
