Dongtan BBQ dinner for two: ogyeopsal and chilled mukbap, Gogigaondang

Gogigaondang Dongtan Branch is a cauldron-lid ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly) restaurant near Gaenari Park in Bansong-dong, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. A married couple visited early on a Saturday evening and ordered antibiotic-free grade-1 fresh ogyeopsal, antibiotic-free gabrisal (pork jowl cut) and radish-salad fried rice with cheese topping, and a staff member grilled the meat in a cast-iron cauldron lid along with scallion kimchi, tofu and bean sprouts. The best part at Gogigaondang was pairing the sizzling cauldron-lid pork with the chilled mukbap (acorn jelly noodle soup) served alongside.
