Bongdam Chinese restaurant spicy pork rice bowl: Dongcheonhong
Dongcheonhong Bongdam Branch is a second-floor Chinese restaurant on Samcheonbyeongma-ro in Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi. Visiting with her daughter, the writer ordered sweet-and-sour pork, jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and an uhwarou rice bowl — pork belly stir-fried with chili and served over rice — which was the most memorable dish, and Dongcheonhong also sells its jjajang sauce to take home for 7,000 won. Prices run a little higher than a neighborhood Chinese restaurant, but the setting and the menu make Dongcheonhong Bongdam Branch a solid choice for a family meal out.
