Comparing two rice soups on a cold day at a Hanam Misa restaurant
O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang (오형제황제누룽지탕) Hanam Misa Main Branch is a newly opened seafood nurungjitang (scorched rice soup) restaurant in Hanam, Gyeonggi, a 5-minute drive from Starfield Hanam. Tasted side by side, the mungbean abalone nurungjitang at 22,000 won was the nuttier, richer bowl, while the seafood nurungjitang at 18,000 won tasted cleaner and lighter. On a day with a cold coming on, O Hyeongje Hwangje Nurungjitang warmed me right through, and it is a place worth returning to with parents.
