I visited Moa Gangnam, a fusion Korean restaurant near Gangnam Station that's great for a wedding invitation meetup (cheongmo). We booked on Naver in advance for 7pm on a weekday, and by 7:30pm there were 3 teams waiting. The pot rice, pasta and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) are all crowd-pleasers, so I'd recommend it for blind dates, dates and wedding invitation meetups!

Where is Moa Gangnam, and which Gangnam Station exit is closest?
Moa Gangnam is only about a 5-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 11, heading toward the Korea Science & Technology Center.

We walked from Gangnam Station, and when you turn into the side street, you'll see Moa Gangnam on the ground floor of a building.
Moa Gangnam seating and the weekday evening wait
Inside, there's a group table that fits up to 12 people, plus tables for 2 and for 4. Booking on Naver ahead of time meant we got seated without any wait, which was nice!

Even on a weekday there were plenty of people waiting, so on weekends a wait is a must at this fusion Korean restaurant..

Radish pickles and jalapeños came out first as the basic side dishes~ Even with so many customers, the staff were friendly.

What's on the Moa Gangnam menu, and how much does it cost?
Moa Gangnam is a fusion Korean restaurant with noodles like kalguksu and pasta, plus pot rice, rice bowls and side dishes. These are the menu items that caught my eye, with prices.
- Abalone mushroom butter pot rice ₩20,000
- Perilla oil salted seafood pasta ₩15,800
- Gangdoenjang (thick soybean paste stew) arancini ₩15,800
- Vongole kalguksu ₩14,800
- Chamnamul chimichurri grilled pork jowl ₩26,900
Since it's fusion Korean, it's a good place for group gatherings where nobody is picky. There are lots of dishes in the ₩10,000 range, so it's good value~

We came for a date, so the two of us ordered one meal each plus one side dish for dinner.
Rich, nutty abalone mushroom butter pot rice
The abalone mushroom butter pot rice at Moa Gangnam is ₩20,000.

The pot rice is topped with abalone, mushrooms and butter, a combination that works perfectly as a Korean dish!

It's loaded with tender steamed abalone, and you mix it all together with the butter and abalone to eat.

The mushrooms add a nice texture and go especially well with the rich, nutty butter flavor. It would be a good dish to bring your parents to!
Spicy brisket soft tofu kalguksu: how big is the portion?
The brisket tofu kalguksu at Moa Gangnam is ₩12,800, and with so many noodles it was a hearty meal for one of the two of us.

And here's the kalguksu we ordered as a main! With brisket and soft tofu in it, it was a filling dish.

The soft tofu and meat made it perfect for a protein boost, haha

Above all, the portion of noodles is generous, enough to fill up even a fairly big adult man.
Arugula cheese potato pancake, the side dish to order
The arugula cheese potato pancake at Moa Gangnam is ₩16,900, and we ordered it as a side since so many blogs recommend it.

We ordered the arugula cheese potato pancake that so many blogs recommended too!

Pepperoni and arugula sit on top of a pancake of thinly sliced shredded potato, and it was especially good with a little drizzle of honey.

The plum ade is ₩5,900, but if you join the Naver review event you can get a refreshing ade too, so keep that in mind!
