A newly opened Chinese restaurant near Sinsa Station and Garosu-gil, Samsin Garosu-gil (삼신 가로수길점), and I went for a weekday lunch! There are good-value courses in the ₩20,000 range, plus a wide range of a la carte dishes: fusion jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), dim sum, cold appetizers and more. The dim sum we got as an opening service, the meat jjamppong and the jajangmyeon were especially good, so this is a place I'd happily come back to for lunch~

Samsin Garosu-gil location and valet parking
Samsin Garosu-gil is a 6-minute walk from Exit 8 of Sinsa Station in Gangnam, heading toward Garosu-gil, so it's easy to reach by subway.

We went by car. If you wait in front of the restaurant, a valet attendant comes over. Valet parking is ₩5,000 for 2 hours, just so you know!
Interior and private rooms

Samsin Garosu-gil uses the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building, and the entrance is just one flight of stairs up. There's hall seating and private rooms in the back, so it works well for group gatherings too. It was a weekday lunch, so there were a few solo diners as well!

It's so hot these days in summer, so cool tea comes out along with the side dishes. The sugar kimchi, ginger-strip soy sauce and pickled radish (danmuji) each represent a Korea-China-Japan fusion, we were told.

Menu and lunch course prices
- Sokcho snow crab soup ₩8,000
- Mala corn ribs ₩13,000
- Mustard-leaf kimchi crispy menbosha (fried shrimp toast) ₩19,000
- Braised short rib jajangmyeon ₩25,000
From classic dishes to fusion ones, the menu is mostly combinations that sound delicious. The lunch course starts at ₩25,000 and is generous, from appetizer through dishes, noodles and dessert, so I ordered the course for two with my mom!

Since the restaurant only just opened, every dining guest gets a dim sum service! It looked pretty and tasted great too. Inside there's shrimp, meat and truffle.
Course starts: Sokcho snow crab soup and xiaolongbao

The ₩25,000-per-person course opens with Sokcho snow crab soup, one plate per person. It had plenty of crab meat inside, and it was warm and smooth, so good!

Next came the handmade dim sum: two xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) per person. Just eat them in one bite, full of juice~
Tokyo tangsuyuk and your choice of noodles (potato jajangmyeon vs meat jjamppong)

For the main dish, there was tangsuyuk (Korean sweet-and-sour pork), and for the noodle course we could pick either Taean potato jajangmyeon or meat jjamppong.

First, the Tokyo tangsuyuk came in a hot bowl, and you can choose to dip the sauce or pour it over.

Unlike other places, a piece of butter sits on top, and it went really well as it melted. Crispy tangsuyuk with sweet sauce is a combo almost everyone would like.

My mom and I each picked one for the noodle course. The jajangmyeon had lots of meat in it, and both the sauce and the noodles were delicious!

And then the spicy meat jjamppong! You can taste the rich meaty flavor in the broth, and it was moderately spicy, so I enjoyed it.
Dessert: tangerine pudding

For dessert, a sweet tangerine pudding was served. A perfect way to finish a Chinese meal~
