Eel and seafood rice bowl lunch sets at Bunko Dining, Sadang Station

Bunko Dining Sadang is a Japanese restaurant and izakaya on the 2nd floor of the Yoajeong building on Bangbaecheon-ro 4an-gil, near Sadang Station in Seocho, Seoul. At lunch the writer ordered the premium hitsumabushi set (grilled eel over rice, 58,000 won), which piles one and a half eels over the rice, and the special kaisendon set (seafood rice bowl, 36,000 won) topped with salmon roe and sea urchin. Bar seating makes Bunko Dining Sadang easy for solo diners, and the spacing between tables suits engagement-invitation get-togethers or a first date.
