Magok taco restaurant for a booked weekday lunch date: Taqueros
In short
Taqueros Magok Main Branch is a Mexican taco restaurant on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower, near Exit 3 of Magok Station in Seoul. The writer and their husband booked a weekday lunch for two and ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2 (56,000 won), with fajitas plus fish and chicken tacos. The separated tables and the 10-minute walk to Seoul Botanic Park made it a satisfying date spot. At Taqueros, the fish taco was far more impressive than the chicken taco.

My husband and I were looking for a good date spot in Magok for a weekday lunch, and we ended up at Taqueros (타케로스). It's a taco place with full-on Mexican vibes, right near Magok Station and close to Seoul Botanic Park, so it works really well as a date course. I loved both the atmosphere and the food, so here's my review for anyone looking for a taco date in Magok.
Where is Taqueros Magok Main Branch?

Taqueros Magok Main Branch is on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower, right near Exit 3 of Magok Station. It's close to the station and has parking, so it was easy to get to.
- Location: Room 202, 2F Magok GMG Tower
- Parking: building parking lot available
- Hours: 11:30–21:30 (closed Mondays)
- Reservations: tables can be booked through Naver Reservation
- Recommended: set menus by group size, great value

Taqueros is also a 10-minute walk from Seoul Botanic Park, so you can follow your meal with a stroll through the park. If you want a Magok date spot or a restaurant near Seoul Botanic Park, the location is perfect.
Is the Taqueros atmosphere good for a date?

The interior is done in wood and red tones, and the moment we walked in it felt properly Mexican. Warm yet exotic, it instantly lifted my mood.

What I especially liked was that the tables are separated, so we could spend time just the two of us without worrying about the people next to us.

That kind of private feeling really matters on a date, right? The place is also bigger than I expected, so it looked good for group gatherings too. It seats up to 22, and I heard office teams often come for lunch outings.
Can you reserve at Taqueros? Great for a work lunch

You can book through Naver Reservation, so we reserved for lunchtime and went.

Office workers have short lunch breaks, and waiting in line gets stressful. Because we had a reservation, we sat down right away and could eat and head out, which was really convenient. For a weekday lunch date or a work lunch gathering, I recommend booking ahead.
Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2: what's in it and how it tasted (fish taco highly recommended)

We had the "Taqueros Signature Couple Set for 2." It comes with a fajita and 2 tacos, and we ordered one drink separately. The set for 2 was ₩56,000.

Complimentary nachos
The sauce on the complimentary nachos is spicier than you'd expect. The nachos are crispy and salty and tasty even on their own, and with the sauce they make you crave a beer. I also liked that they bring them out as a freebie to snack on while you wait for your order.

Fajita
The fajita is Taqueros' signature: vegetables and meat stir-fried in a special seasoning, plus salsa, all wrapped by hand in a tortilla. Wrapping it yourself is fun, which makes it even better for a date. My husband wrapped mine for me, so it tasted even better ❤

Fish taco
The fish taco is fish fried crispy in a craft beer batter. Personally, this was my favorite. The crunchy fish and the sauce go so well together that one bite wakes you right up.

Chicken taco
The chicken taco is crispy Southern-style fried chicken, and honestly it tasted like a regular chicken burger. It's decent, but I preferred the fish taco. My husband said he'd like to eat it with a beer while watching the World Cup, haha. Honestly, the fish taco was far more memorable than the chicken, so keep that in mind when you choose.
