Why I picked Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch for my newborn's first outing

Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is a Gumi café that works well with a baby, thanks to its nursing room, changing table and floor-seating tables. I had visited Otters with my parents before Kongtteok (my baby's nickname) was born! Besides the vivid interior and tasty desserts,

I noticed the nursing room, changing tables and floor seating and promised myself I'd come back once the baby was born!

So I picked it for Kongtteok's first outing, on my husband's last day of paternity leave ♡

Is parking easy at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch?

The parking lot at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is as big as the café itself, so there's no parking worry. I noticed it last time too: the parking lot at Otters is amazing, haha. Some places have a huge building but a tiny lot, and parking is stressful, right?? Here the lot is just as enormoooous as the café, so zero stress ☆

It was over 30°C that day 😢 But I expected a quiet café on a Monday, and we couldn't pass up my husband's leave, so we bundled the baby up in a wrap and set off 🥹

The atmosphere inside Otters on a Monday morning

On a Monday morning Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch was spacious and pleasant, and nearly empty and quiet. Wide and comfortable inside, as always ♡ I'm still a bit careful about crowded places, so my prediction worked out perfectly 💝

The vivid orange interior is a great mood lifter! Being home alone with the baby can get a little boring and even sad(?), so getting out to a café with my little one made me happy. Happiness is no big thing.

Inside the Otters café space

Go in the morning for fresh salt bread and doughnuts

Right after opening, breads were being set out one by one at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, and the salt bread was already out. We were pretty much the first customers! The bread was just coming out. The salt bread had already made its entrance.

And Otters means doughnuts!!!!!!!! Doughnuts!!! were coming out too!!! The timing was so good that we got to try them fresh out 🥹🥹🥹

Our first family photo strip at the Otters Kodak booth

Inside Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch there's a Kodak photo booth where you can take a four-cut photo strip, 2 strips for ₩4,000. We took our first family photo strip to mark today's first outing! A photo booth in a café... 🥹 I'd wanted to take Kong to a life-four-cuts photo studio, but honestly I couldn't face tracking one down. If the baby started fussing it would be a meltdown, haha.

With a Kodak booth right inside the café, Otters seems perfect for photos with babies under one, like Kongtteok ♡

Haha, ₩4,000 for two strips is the same as a typical photo booth!

There are photo zones like this all around! The mirror makes you look taller and slimmer, so I'm dieting with it~ ^~^

Floor-seating tables on the Otters 2nd floor: good with a baby?

The 2nd floor of Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch has two large floor-seating tables, and there are high chairs too. But there's no elevator, so if the floor seats are taken, it's better to sit on the 1st floor, where the nursing room is. This is the 2nd floor! It looks dark because of the backlight, but the café is really bright inside :) Floor seating is the easiest way to go to a café with a baby!

It seems to be a café lots of people visit with babies :) Please don't throw baby supplies or diapers in the floor seating area!!

Notice about using the floor-seating tables

There are high chairs too~ If you can't get floor seating, you'd have to use a high chair or lay the baby in a stroller. But there's no elevator, so if there's no free floor seat, it's better to stay on the 1st floor. The nursing room is there :)

Laying the baby right down on the floor seating, haha. I carry a portable changing pad, so I spread it underneath, haha. Next time I'll wear pants, not a skirt, to the floor seating, haha. I wore a skirt because it was my first outing in a while, and it turned out to be kind of uncomfortable~

What we ordered at Otters: 2 doughnuts, 2 breads, 2 drinks

The two of us ordered two doughnuts, two breads and a drink each at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, and finished everything. Since you never know when they'll come out again, I ordered lots while they were out T_T And the two of us ate every bit... hahaha.

Egg mayo salt bread and croque monsieur

For bread we ordered the egg mayo salt bread and the croque monsieur, and the fillings were very, very generous, haha. So good...

Milk shake doughnut and Nutella doughnut

But Otters is all about the doughnuts!!!

For Otters doughnuts we ordered the milk shake doughnut and the Nutella doughnut! They're packed with cream, so I was so happy with every mouthful, hehe T_T I was a little worried the Nutella doughnut would be too sweet, but it was just the right amount of sweet Nutella. And the milk shake doughnut, need I say more..😋

What is the 1st-floor nursing room at Otters like?

The 1st-floor nursing room at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch has a changing table, with a sink right next to it. Did you want some too? My little one sucking on her fist, drifting off in daddy's arms..😇

She seemed hungry, so I nursed her briefly in the nursing room and put her to sleep :) A changing table and a sink right next to it, just perfect, haha.

I highly recommend Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch as a café to take your babies :)
