Four kalguksu bowls compared at a Daegu noodle shop: Donggok Jemyeon
Donggok Jemyeon Daegu Dongseong-ro Main Branch is a handmade-noodle kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant in Gyodong, Jung-gu, Daegu, directly across from Bosang Memorial Park. On a Sunday lunch, four diners ordered four bowls at once: two Korean beef bone kalguksu at 11,000 won each, an extra-large chogye bibim kalguksu (cold, tangy-spicy chicken mixed noodles) for 12,000 won, and an extra-concentrated chicken kalguksu for 13,000 won. Donggok Jemyeon suits a group that wants to taste the bone broth, the sour-spicy chogye and the deep chicken broth side by side in one sitting.
