I wanted a burger on a weekday evening, so I headed to Bass Burger Yeouido. The restaurant is in the basement of Yulchon Building, right across from The Hyundai Seoul and IFC.
Is parking free at Bass Burger Yeouido?
Yes, if you eat at Bass Burger Yeouido you get 1 hour of free parking on the 1st floor of Yulchon Building. Free parking is hard to find in Yeouido, so this is a pretty big plus.

The Yulchon Building security guard kindly guided me, so I was able to park. If there are no free spaces, it may not be possible, so keep that in mind..!

How to validate parking at Bass Burger Yeouido
Ask a Bass Burger staff member for a stamp like the one above, then hand it to the parking attendant. It only covers 1 hour!

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Bass Burger Yeouido?
Bass Burger Yeouido feels less like a burger joint and more like a basement pub. I came here back when I used to get around by bike, before COVID, and the location and interior are exactly the same as then. Happy to see it again, I headed downstairs.

It has that old familiar feel, and the vibe is more of a pub than a burger place. Bass Burger is one of the few franchises that has survived in the handmade burger market, so it's a place you can trust.

It wasn't crowded when I arrived at 6 pm. There's a long bar table and regular tables, and you order yourself at the kiosk on the table.

There are lots of tables inside too, and seats were so plentiful that you probably wouldn't have to wait.
What's on the Bass Burger self-serve chip bar?

One of Bass Burger's strengths is the self-serve bar. You can eat unlimited potato chips and take as much ketchup and mustard as you like.

It's also a nice place to just come for a beer. The chips, the beer and the pub-like mood make for a satisfying outing with coworkers or on a date.
While I sat and ordered, more and more people started coming in. Even in pricey Yeouido, Bass Burger is amazing value, both in price and in how satisfied you feel.
Bass Burger Yeouido menu and prices
Single burgers at Bass Burger cost about ₩7,000 to ₩10,000+, and since chili mozzarella cheese bars are trending lately, they've come out as a new menu item. I ordered a 1-glass beer set (my wife drank the beer), the chili mozzarella cheese bars, and a Bass Burger set plus one more Bass Burger.

How does the classic Bass Burger taste?
I ordered the basic Bass Burger, which comes with a beef patty, real cheddar, house sauce and butterhead sauce, among other things. It's the basic of basics, and it feels very true to the basics. The fries are thin potato chips like Lotteria's, so the baby ate them happily.

Bass Burger has the tastiest patty and bun among handmade burger franchises. The amount of beef seems to be shrinking a little (?), maybe because of rising prices, but it was grilled really well.

They hand out pocket hygiene gloves at the start, and since the burger gets very greasy, it's a good idea to use them.

Are the new chili mozzarella cheese bars spicy?
Bass Burger's new chili mozzarella cheese bars are described as crispy, spicy, American chili style. But the American chili style I know has no sweetness, while this was the sweet chili-style mozzarella we're used to here. It's slightly spicy, and dipping it in tartar sauce tones it down, so the sauce was a treat in itself.

Bass Lager on draft
One glass of Bass Lager 4.7%. Since it's draft, you get a rich, smooth swallow and a sweet finish. With so many foods that go well with beer, like chips and burgers, I figured people would drink even more of this cold beer in summer.

Is Bass Burger Yeouido, near The Hyundai Seoul and IFC, worth it?
With a full hour of parking covered in Yeouido, plus its location near The Hyundai Seoul and IFC, Bass Burger Yeouido is a great choice if you're looking for a handmade burger restaurant. The pub atmosphere is also relaxed and not overbearing, perfect for a beer with coworkers or friends after work.
