Bbangi here! Since it was Chuseok holiday, I went to Danyang, Chungbuk! When you say Danyang, Chungbuk, Gugyeong Market has so many good restaurants~! Let me introduce Danppang Bakery, a solid pick for Danyang Gugyeong Market food, Danyang Gugyeong Market bakery, Danyang bakery, and Danyang takeout food~^^

Where Danppang Bakery is and when it opens

Danppang Bakery is at 36 Dojeon4-gil, Danyang-eup, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do (Dojeon-ri 613), inside Danyang Gugyeong Market. Hours are 10:30–21:00 and last order is 19:30. Bread comes out from 10:30am, and they close early once ingredients run out~^^ It's been featured on Live Tonight, Black Garlic Cream Cheese Garlic Bread, Hometown of the Heart, and various other shows~! I went for takeout.

What makes Danyang garlic bread different

Danppang Bakery says it's the original garlic bread in Korea, the first to grind black garlic directly into cream cheese. Danyang garlic is the origin of six-clove garlic, apparently far sweeter than regular garlic with a deep flavor unique to the region. With so much red clay soil in limestone areas, it grows dense and firm, and is rich in allicin, known for anti-cancer and lifestyle-disease benefits! No way this isn't healthy, haha! Being a popular spot, the wait was 30-40 minutes, haha!

How the garlic bread went over with parents and grandfather

I enjoyed one 4-flavor set (cream, black garlic cream cheese, sweet potato, and baguette garlic bread) so much~! It was so tasty I just decided to think of it as zero calories and dug in. Bread Father, Bread Mother, and Grandfather all ate together happily~! Grandmother sat with us too but wasn't feeling well, so she didn't eat. Grandmother, let's eat together next time~^^

Bread Mother works as a kindergarten cook, so she's super picky about food, and I was so glad she enjoyed it. Maybe because it's the #1 best gift set, the takeout was delicious too~! It was so good I'm planning to go back~~! The staff working there were also really friendly, which was great, haha.
