In short
I tested HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal Hyaluronic Acid Low-pH Foam Cleanser in Korea on dry skin that sometimes breaks out around my chin. Used alone in the morning and as a second cleanse at night, it felt comfortable and left less tightness than I expected.

How did it feel on dry skin?

I have dry skin and occasionally get acne around my chin, so I pay attention not only to cleansing power but also to how my skin feels afterward. Products that feel too heavy or leave my skin very dry after cleansing tend to feel burdensome to me.

Because this was a black formula containing Jirisan charcoal, I initially wondered whether it would leave a squeaky-clean finish. When I used it, though, my skin felt moisturized and comfortable afterward rather than dried out, contrary to what I expected.

What were the foam and cleansing process like?

Rather than rubbing it directly onto my face, I worked it into a sufficient lather in my hands first. The foam formed softly, making it easy to cleanse by lightly rolling it over my face without rubbing hard.

How did I use it morning and night?

In the morning, I used this product alone for a light cleanse. After making a lather, I gently rolled it over my entire face and rinsed with lukewarm water; it did not feel excessively squeaky-clean first thing in the morning.

On evenings when I wore makeup or sunscreen, I used this product for another cleanse after my first cleanse. I worried that a second cleanse would be drying, but when I used it, I did not notice much tightness.

What did I focus on?

I also took note of the listed patented Aqua Ceramide and seven types of hyaluronic acid. Even with a rinse-off product, I am mindful of dryness after cleansing, so alongside the ingredient list, I focused on whether my skin actually felt stiff or uncomfortable afterward.

I do not think a particular foam cleanser will resolve the breakouts on my chin. So far, though, it has caused less severe tightness or stiffness after cleansing, so it suited my preference for a moisturized, comfortable finish.

Will I keep using it through seasonal changes and winter?

It is summer now, so my skin is not as dry as it is in winter. My inner dryness tends to worsen when the weather turns cool, so I plan to keep using it through seasonal changes and winter and compare how my skin feels after cleansing.
