Ansan taco restaurant: platter fries, dirty nachos, The Taco Booth
In short
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a taco restaurant on the main road next to Homeplus in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan. On a date with a taco-loving boyfriend, the writer ordered the taco platter (42,500 won) and dirty nachos (9,500 won); the crispy tacos grilled with cheese and the nachos that never went soggy stood out, and The Taco Booth even has an in-store sink and disposable gloves. The Taco Booth is a date-friendly Gojan-dong taco spot that even someone who struggles with cilantro enjoyed.

My boyfriend needs a regular taco transfusion. Whenever a Mexican restaurant opens in Ansan, he has to visit, so when he heard a proper taco specialty shop had opened here, we ran over right away. The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch (더타코부스 안산고잔점) has already been featured on a Korean TV show, "Master of Living", and is famous as a Gojan-dong date spot. Here's my honest review of the price, taste, parking and menu picks. ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝
Location, hours and parking at The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch
The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is at 56 Gwangdeokseo-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, Unit 111 on the 1st floor, on the main road along the side of Homeplus in Gojan-dong. It's open 11:30 to 22:00, with a break from 14:30 to 16:30, and closed on Wednesdays.

It's on the main road along the Homeplus side in Gojan-dong, so it's super easy to find. The exterior is a hip orange, and it catches your eye from far away as you turn onto the street.

Unlike other taco places in Ansan, The Taco Booth has a takeout-only kiosk in front of the shop! You can order without even talking to a staff member, so I think even introverts could grab takeout easily. I loved that.
Inside The Taco Booth: is it good for a date?
The interior of The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch has Mexican-style decor and soft lighting, which suits a Gojan-dong date. It felt cozy and full of atmosphere.

The Mexican-inspired interior felt very clean and stylish. I'm really picky about cleanliness, and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere, so my mood lifted the moment we walked in.

The lighting is amazing: not too bright, toned down just a little. You know that perfect lighting that makes photos come out great and the person across from you look pretty? Lighting is everything for photos, and here you can definitely get a great shot. The whole vibe is exactly what you'd expect from a Gojan-dong date spot.

Tacos are eaten by hand: is there somewhere to wash up?
There's a sink inside The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch, with hygiene gloves right next to it. Tacos are usually eaten with your hands, right? This is exactly the kind of thoughtfulness that makes this Ansan taco spot so considerate.

I really liked that hygiene gloves are provided right beside it.
What's on the menu and how much does it cost?
The menu runs from basic single tacos like beef and chicken to side dishes like nachos and fries, and there's also draft beer, highballs and soft drinks. My impression was a varied menu at reasonable prices.

It starts with single Ansan tacos in the most basic styles, like beef or chicken, and there were plenty of nachos and fries that are easy to nibble on with beer.
My taco-lover boyfriend said the prices are quite reasonable for the quality. A Mexican place in Ansan with such a well-stocked menu at this quality is rare, so my expectations shot up. There's the ice-cold draft beer that's essential with tacos, plus highballs and soft drinks, so the drinks lineup is perfect too.

We ordered mostly the best-sellers that blog reviews say look great. (I'm crazy about signature and best-seller dishes, haha)
- Dirty nachos ₩9,500
- Taco platter ₩42,500
The Taco Booth taco platter (₩42,500): what's in it and how does it taste?
The taco platter isn't a build-your-own fajita style. It's an all-in-one platter where different tacos come finished on a single tray. In the middle are crispy tacos grilled with cheese, soft tacos on both sides, fries on the bottom, and lime, guacamole and birria soup alongside.

The taco platter isn't a fussy fajita style where you wrap everything yourself. It's an all-in-one platter where tacos with different charms come perfectly finished on one tray. The two tacos in the center are grilled crispy with cheese, and the crunchy-outside, moist-inside texture was fantastic.

One bite and the crispy, nutty cheese flavor spreads through your mouth. It was totally my taste. ⸜( ˙ ˘ ˙)⸝♡
My boyfriend, who loves spicy and rich flavors, happily poured hot sauce all over his.

On both sides are tacos that keep the soft tortilla texture, laid out with vegetable and meat toppings, so picking and choosing is a lot of fun.

Even the soft tacos taste different by type, like chicken and shrimp, so choosing was fun!

Try the taco platter fries this way
The bottom of the taco platter is full of fries, and tucking them into a soft taco adds crunch. My blogger assistant (the boyfriend) says that if you slip the fries from the bottom into a soft taco, the extra crunch makes both the texture and the taste twice as good. A true food genius... ⸜( •ᴗ• )⸝

It also came with fresh lime, guacamole sauce and deep, rich birria soup, so we could enjoy even more flavors. We were so impressed, thinking we'd really found a proper Ansan taco spot, that we devoured it. This dish was a no-regrets, best-choice order!!!
The Taco Booth dirty nachos (₩9,500): fine if you can't eat cilantro?
The Taco Booth's dirty nachos are crispy nacho chips piled with a special sauce, thick cheese, ground meat, and tomato and vegetable garnish. Even I, who don't really like cilantro, enjoyed them.

On top of well-fried, crunchy nacho chips, they really don't hold back on the special sauce, thick cheese, ground meat and crisp tomato-vegetable garnish.

Even with all that sauce, the nachos didn't get soggy quickly and stayed crunchy until we finished. Adding a little of the guacamole from the platter on top was a honey-sweet combo too. I'll definitely order this again on my next visit. Because of its distinctive scent I'm not a big cilantro fan, yet I really enjoyed these nachos. It's a recommended dish that people of any age or gender will like, with no divided opinions!
Overall verdict on The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch
I was very satisfied with The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch: the hip interior, the taste of what we ordered and the thoughtful touches, nothing fell short. My boyfriend, who loves tacos so much he often travels to Seoul to eat them, left praising it as the best of the taco places in Ansan. Even I, who can't handle strong-scented foods like cilantro, devoured it happily.
I'm planning to go back again this coming weekend as a Gojan-dong date. If you're looking for a nice-atmosphere Gojan-dong spot to take your partner this weekend, or want an unusual meal at a taco place that won't let you down, I sincerely recommend it!
