Selected Nicks: a large Gangnam Station café built for studying

Selected Nicks is a large Gangnam Station café at 37 Teheran-ro 4-gil, 1st floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. I want to introduce a big Gangnam Station café that never gets old no matter how many times you visit — this is a place I come to constantly for studying or working, and I genuinely recommend it. The tiramisu is honestly so good, you have to order it alongside your coffee.

How to get to Selected Nicks and where to park

The address is 37 Teheran-ro 4-gil, 1st floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Introducing Selected Nicks, a large Gangnam Station café located just 323m from Exit 3 of Gangnam Station subway.

Parking is free. Enter through the back gate and ask the staff on the 1st floor. Search 'Taewon Haksa' in your navigation app and drive all the way to the end of the alley — but note that SUVs, compact cars, and tall vehicles cannot enter!!!

Order on the 1st floor, then take your drink upstairs

You order on the 1st floor, then you can grab a seat on the 2nd floor or higher. Of course there are seats on the 1st floor too, but since this café gets a lot of foot traffic, if you want to focus or have a conversation, I'd recommend picking up your order downstairs and heading up.

What I ordered at Selected Nicks

  • You have to order the tiramisu, no question
  • Choco banana tiramisu 7,800 won
  • Iced americano 6,000 won

As soon as my drink and tiramisu arrived, the first thing I did was head straight up to the rooftop to take photos — as you can see, you can enjoy delicious tiramisu and coffee with a genuinely beautiful view.

The tiramisu and coffee at Selected Nicks are always the right choice, no matter when you order them. Genuinely delicious.

Once the weather cools down a little, I think autumn will be perfect for enjoying clear skies and coffee on the rooftop. I want to keep this place all to myself, but it's honestly too good a café to keep secret, so I've been recommending it to everyone.

Choco banana tiramisu, 7,800 won

The choco banana tiramisu at Selected Nicks is 7,800 won. It's not the kind of menu item you can take or leave... order it together with coffee and you'll notice it's completely different, with a depth that's distinct from regular tiramisu. The combination of chocolate and banana was really good, and above all, the tiramisu is so moist that your hand keeps reaching for another bite.

2nd-floor window seats and the seasonal art display

The 2nd floor of Selected Nicks is perfect for studying or chatting. It almost feels like walking into an art gallery.

Exhibit space at Selected Nicks that changes each season

One of the charm points of Selected Nicks is that these exhibited works change every season — it can feel a little confusing, like you're not sure if you came for a café or an art exhibition, but browsing around still makes for a fun time.

The window side is personally my favorite spot — perfect for studying or working, and really good for focusing!!

Iced americano placed at the window seat

The iced americano seems to use beans with a nutty flavor and just a tiny hint of acidity, similar to what you'd get at a typical café. A nice clean taste.

Is Selected Nicks worth it for study and laptop work?

With the phrase 'Sweet Tiramisu' never ends, Selected Nicks sells its special desserts in a place that's also a view spot — a large 5-floor café just 5 minutes from Gangnam Station that always leaves you in a good mood! Truly recommend it to anyone who hasn't been yet.
