Misa Station all-you-can-eat sushi: 50 plates for two at The Sushi
In short
The Sushi Hanam Misa (더스시 하남미사점) is a newly opened all-you-can-eat conveyor belt sushi restaurant on the 2nd floor of Hillstate Misa Station Grand Passage in Hanam, Gyeonggi. A couple ate 50 plates between them there and enjoyed the small rice portions and good-quality toppings, especially the egg shrimp sushi, pineapple sauce salmon sushi and cuttlefish sushi. The Sushi Hanam Misa is a Misa Station sushi spot that should satisfy even diners who expect little from an all-you-can-eat buffet.

My wife and I visited The Sushi Hanam Misa (더스시 하남미사점), a newly opened sushi spot near Misa Station in Hanam.

I like sushi and visit conveyor belt sushi places often, and since this one was brand new, I went with some expectations. To get straight to the point: I went in thinking of an ordinary conveyor belt sushi place and came away quite satisfied with how good the sushi was.

Where is The Sushi Hanam Misa, and what about parking?
The Sushi Hanam Misa is on the 2nd floor of the Misa Grand Passage building with the Starbucks, above Daiso. Taking elevator No. 8 from the parking lot is the easy way up to the 2nd floor, and 90 minutes of free parking is covered with a visit.
If you're looking for a sushi place near Misa Station, check the location first. We figured out where to go beforehand, but the Misa Grand Passage building is so huge that it's still confusing!!
Parking at The Sushi Misa
The building's parking lot is spacious, so it's easy to come by car. We're a slow-eating couple, so we went over 90 minutes and paid an extra ₩1,500 for parking.
A clean restaurant and a friendly first impression
As you'd expect from a newly opened place, The Sushi Hanam Misa is clean overall, with a bright, pleasant interior. The owner kindly explained how everything works, so it wasn't difficult at all even on a first visit. Once you find a seat, you just go after the sushi you want.
How varied is the sushi at The Sushi Misa?
The rail at The Sushi Misa keeps carrying a wide variety of sushi, from flatfish, fresh salmon and yuksashimi (Korean-style raw beef) to eel, shrimp, scallop and pen shell clam. As a conveyor belt place, you can pick exactly what you want to eat right off the rail.
A sushi place where the customer wins
In particular, the amount of rice is small compared with the toppings, which is great from a customer's point of view at a conveyor belt sushi place. Instead of filling up on rice, you can properly enjoy the taste of the fish and seafood. This was one of the biggest strengths of this Misa Station sushi spot, to my mind.

Self-serve bar and desserts
One side of The Sushi Hanam Misa has a self-serve bar where you can take as much as you need of soy sauce, rakkyo (pickled scallion bulbs), ginger, miso soup, wasabi and more.
Also, the sushi doesn't come with wasabi in it by default, so you can adjust the amount to your own taste, which I liked. It struck me as a good option for visiting with kids, too.

There are also items like salad, spaghetti, pudding, oranges and chocolate cake, so you can have a light side between pieces of sushi or finish with dessert.

So I think it would suit families looking for a sushi restaurant in Hanam, too.
50 plates for two: the sushi we actually tried
At The Sushi Misa, the two of us ate a whopping 50 plates. When I eat with my wife it's usually around 30 plates, so we set a conveyor belt sushi record!! More than 30 of those were mine alone.
Egg shrimp sushi, the one I recommend most
The first thing I want to recommend is the egg shrimp sushi (계란새우초밥). Personally, it was the tastiest thing I ate that day. The flavor of the shrimp and the soft taste of the egg go so well together that I reached for it again and again. If you visit The Sushi Misa, you absolutely!! have to try the egg shrimp sushi.
The eel sushi had a lovely chewy texture, and the tako wasabi gunkan (octopus wasabi sushi boat) nicely showed off the octopus's signature crunch and its sharp, spicy kick.

Pineapple sauce salmon sushi, plus shrimp, scallop and pen shell sushi
The pineapple sauce salmon sushi was a treat too. Fresh salmon is topped with pineapple sauce, tartar sauce and finely chopped onion, and it freshens up the richness of the salmon, so it was a deliciously different kind of sushi.
The soy sauce shrimp sushi used big shrimp, so you could really taste the flavor of saeujang (soy-marinated shrimp), and the grilled scallop sushi had a light torched smokiness that made it mild and nutty. The pen shell clam butter scallop kept that chewy, springy scallop texture, and the grilled shrimp sushi also had an appealing subtle fire-grilled flavor.

Monkfish liver, cuttlefish, yuksashimi and beef belly sushi
The sushi that lets you taste monkfish liver together with gamtae (seaweed) shrimp was rich and nutty, and the mildness of the monkfish liver came through with real weight!! The cuttlefish sushi, a nice autumn treat, had a really good chewy texture, and the yuksashimi sushi gave off a nutty beefy flavor the more you chewed. The beef belly sushi was well seasoned, so eating one in between the fish sushi felt different, and it worked as a protein option too.

How to make the most of all-you-can-eat conveyor belt sushi
My strategy for The Sushi Misa is to keep an eye out for items with only one piece on the rail. Since there's not much of it, it's likely either popular or something special.

Weekday lunch opening event until October 31
Until October 31, The Sushi Hanam Misa is running an opening event that serves even the dinner-lineup sushi at weekday lunch. It's a period when you can enjoy the sushi normally served at dinner, including 100% fresh salmon, at weekday lunchtime, so keep it in mind if you're planning a visit.
Overall verdict on The Sushi Misa
Overall the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly, and above all, since it's all-you-can-eat I hadn't expected much from the sushi quality, but the ingredients were quite good.
If you're looking for a new sushi place in Hanam, or want to eat plenty of different sushi in Misa without any pressure, do visit The Sushi Misa near Misa Station~~!! I especially recommend the egg shrimp sushi.
