Cleansing balm for dry skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

How was this cleansing balm on dry skin?

My T-zone tends to be dry in summer, while my whole face is dry in winter. I first bought this on a friend’s recommendation and used it for about two months, then came back to it. My skin felt less severely tight after cleansing and seemed to retain some moisture, so I was especially pleased with it during dry periods.

What are the texture and feel like?

It is a black balm, and it came with a small scoop for dispensing the product and an inner lid, which made storage convenient. I scooped out a generous amount at a time and rubbed it over my face; it melted and spread smoothly on contact with my skin.

It starts out a deep black, but I could see it fade to gray as I rubbed away makeup and facial oil. I also carefully massaged my nose and the area above my upper lip.

Why did I choose a balm instead of cleansing water?

I usually use oil or balm formulas more often than cleansing water. With cleansing water, I felt that the sides of my nose and the area above my upper lip were not cleaned as thoroughly, but this product melted as it cleansed, leaving those areas feeling clean too.

What should you keep in mind before using it?

How long the product lasts can vary depending on how much you use. I tend to use a generous amount, so please treat my experience of using it for about two months as personal reference only.
