Location and atmosphere at Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan Sinjung-dong Station Branch

This Sinjung-dong Station favorite Korean BBQ restaurant is located behind Lotte Department Store, and there's a big sign on the 2nd floor so it's easy to find! 🔥 Hahaha, "Giving up on liquor margins — soju and beer ₩1,500"!! 🔥

They use a whole floor of the building so it's really spacious! The tables are big and well spaced out, which doesn't feel cramped at all! I came on a Thursday at 7:30pm and it was packed! Totally a great spot for group dinners and gatherings!!

There's a restroom inside too, and it's super clean!
Menu and prices — pork belly 300g ₩16,000, drinks ₩1,500

Here's how the menu at this Sinjung-dong Station favorite is laid out! Other places usually charge around ₩18,000 for 160g of pork belly, but here it's 300g for ₩16,000!! ✨ Insane value!!! ✨

There's a self-serve station in the middle of the restaurant with various drinks, beverages, and water! Imported beer is ₩2,500, and other drinks are ₩1,500, so it feels less of a burden to have a drink or two with your meat!!

Corkage is free too, so it's perfect for a gathering!
Inside the Bangatgan A Set (1kg+50g) ₩57,000

We ordered the signature Bangatgan A Set (1kg+50g) for ₩57,000. It comes with pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang (grilled pork intestine) all on one tray, and the portion was huge! There were mushrooms and minari (water dropwort) on top of the meat, and smoked makchang underneath — such a solid lineup!!

There's a main grill plus a side grill, so you can put on doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and keep it warm — great!!

The basic side dishes include scallion salad, kimchi, ssamjang (dipping sauce), garlic, scallion sauce, pickles, and even beondegi (silkworm pupae)! They give you everything you need to go with your meat, so it was great to mix and match.

If you run out of side dishes, you can grab more from the sauce bar!
How does the charcoal-grilled meat taste?

Haha, meat, minari, and mushrooms grilled over charcoal!! 😆✨👍 No but seriously, how is the meat so cheap but the quality so good??!! It was so delicious! Grilled some kimchi too.

We always do a little cheers before eating anything, haha. Today it was pork jowl — cheers~~🍀😆

The scallion salad is spicy and tangy, and it's so good eaten with the pork belly!

There were so many side dishes to pair with the meat, which I loved. Pork belly on lettuce, with a bit of garlic, chili, and scallion salad on top — the combo is seriously great!!

Second round of grilling! The portion was really generous. The A Set seems just right for three people!
Finishing with bibim naengmyeon

You gotta have bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) after meat~~ This place is seriously great for naengmyeon!! Highly recommend!

Eating a piece of pork belly together with the bibim naengmyeon is amazing — the chewy noodle texture with the rich, fatty meat is so good!
Wrap-up

If you want to eat meat to your heart's content near Sinjung-dong Station in Bucheon, I highly, highly recommend this place! The A Set let us try pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, and smoked makchang all at once, which was great, and the drink prices are affordable too, so it's a nice spot for a drink with your meal! I recommend this Sinjung-dong Station favorite, Gogi Gubneun Bangatgan Sinjung-dong Station Branch!
