What free side dishes come with the set?

Haha, I love these individually wrapped spoon sets haha.

Whoa, the banchan spread is insane!!! So much food came out!!! Grilled fish, clam soup, mulhoe, soy sauce shrimp, perilla leaves, salad, corn salad, and white kimchi all filled the table!! It's not just sashimi — there are so many side dishes to eat in between that it makes the meal even more filling!!

Haha, it was pretty hot out earlier today and I was craving mulhoe, and then it showed up as a banchan hahaha. The owner's got great taste ✨

A refreshing, spicy clam soup loaded with clams!

Not sure what kind of fish it was, but the grilled fish was so good I finished the whole thing haha!! Eating the spicy sauce, bean sprouts, and fish together was seriously addictive!!

Cheers to the banchan spread with a highball 💗
How did the live squid and flounder sashimi set taste?

Wow 💗✨🥹 The plating is clean and so pretty! Live squid sashimi, flounder sashimi, julienned cucumber, and radish sprouts are neatly arranged. The live squid sashimi has such a translucent, glossy look that you can tell right away it's fresh!!
The live squid sashimi is sliced thin, so it feels springy the moment you pick it up with chopsticks! The more you chew, the chewier and nuttier it gets — great dipped in chojang (vinegared chili sauce), or wrapped in perilla leaf! It's sprinkled with nutty sesame seeds too, so it's clean and tasty even plain.

The flounder sashimi has just the right thickness, so it's soft yet chewy! The flesh is white and clean with a subtle sweetness, so it's nice to alternate between it and the live squid sashimi. Flounder is always good no matter when you eat it!
The best way to eat live squid sashimi

Wrap live squid sashimi, flying fish roe, garlic, chili, and chojang in a perilla leaf and it's so good — the fragrant perilla, the popping texture of the flying fish roe, all together! Adding garlic and chili gives it a sharp kick, making it a great pairing with drinks too.

Wrapping live squid sashimi, flying fish roe, pickled radish, and radish sprouts in gim (dried seaweed) is also insane!!! The crispy gim with the chewy squid, a bit of chojang, a bit of wasabi — so clean with no greasiness!!

The chewy texture of the live squid sashimi combined with the chewy, slightly crunchy dasima (kelp) is a combo that sashimi lovers would really enjoy!

Go visit Mapo Bamdada, a sashimi restaurant in Mangwon-dong, and enjoy a relaxed time with the people you care about :)
