Jeonju foot massage for plantar fasciitis after golf: Kozy Foot Shop

In short

Kozy Foot Shop is a foot care massage shop on the second floor of a building on Baekje-daero in Junghwasan-dong, Wansan-gu, Jeonju. After a first golf round in a long while, plus futsal, swimming and 15,000 steps a day working on site, the writer booked the 90-minute Kozy Special, which includes a foot bath and upper and lower body care, to relieve throbbing feet. Kozy Foot Shop worked tight legs with just the right pressure, making it clear why soccer players go there.

Why I booked a foot massage at Kozy Foot Shop in Jeonju after golf

It'd been a while — no, a really long while — since I had plans to head out to the field. I got all my gear ready, hit the practice range, and felt that flutter of excitement for a rare round of golf.

A rare golf round after a long time

The dreaded slice was still there, and my putting was all over the place since I wasn't used to the greens. Probably all my own fault haha, but it was a fun round regardless!

Lately I've been juggling futsal, swimming and now golf on top of walking over 15,000 steps a day for work. Sure enough, my feet started throbbing, which is what brought me here! This foot care specialty shop, Kozy Foot Shop in Jeonju, is apparently a regular spot for K League Jeonbuk Hyundai players too. Alright, let's go check it out!

Where is Kozy Foot Shop? Location and parking on Baekje-daero

Kozy Foot Shop is located along Baekje-daero in Junghwasan-dong, Jeonju. Coming from the Lotte Department Store intersection in Seosin-dong toward Hyoja-dong, you'll spot it right on the main road.

Junghwasan-dong is pretty much the center of Jeonju, so it's easy to reach from anywhere, and being right on the main road makes it even easier to find. There's also plenty of parking, both in the building's own lot and additional nearby spots, so it's a comfortable place to visit.

Since it's right on the main road, it's not hard to find, and with plenty of parking, you just park and head up to the 2nd floor! The 3rd floor is a study café, and the 4th floor is an academy. Hmm... should be quiet!

The inside of the building is kept clean too, which only raised my expectations even more!

Inside Kozy Foot Shop: atmosphere and soccer player autographs

Stepping off the elevator, you're right at the entrance. There's a shoe rack just in front where you take off your shoes and switch into the provided slippers before heading inside.

Once inside, the warm lighting and beige-toned walls already start melting away the fatigue. Looking at the wall covered in signatures from so many well-known faces, my confidence in the place shot up even more.

I saw autographs from former Jeonbuk Hyundai players Hong Jeong-ho, Lee Yeong-jae and many others, and knowing that soccer players — whose feet are especially sensitive — come here made me even more curious about the skill level.

They also run prepaid membership packages, so anyone wanting regular foot care could get a good price.

Kozy Special 90-minute course: foot bath plus upper and lower body care

With the golf round and my feet feeling extra fatigued lately, I decided to try the 90-minute Kozy Special, which includes care for the feet as well as the whole body, and waited in the waiting room.

The waiting room was also decorated in a clean, comfortable style. A space couples could easily visit together without feeling awkward.

When my turn came, I started with the foot bath! The water temperature was just right, and even the foot bath alone felt like it was melting the fatigue away!

There was a heat wave warning out today, but sitting inside with my feet in the bath, looking out the window, I didn't feel the heat at all! So good! Looking out at the view like that felt like a different world entirely.

Lower body massage: why soccer players visit Kozy Foot Shop

Next I went in for the upper and lower body care, and during the lower body portion, I truly understood why soccer players come here!!! You could feel it instantly — the just-right pressure applied to the tight muscle areas, and the lactic acid just melting away! (Apparently lactic acid is the fatigue substance.)

I heard that Lee Seung-woo also comes here often — it'd be pretty amazing to run into him sometime! The upper body care was also great, working through the trapezius, shoulders and back to release all the tension. The lower body massage was truly very nice!

Is Kozy Foot Shop worth it after sports or travel?

After the massage, I came downstairs and headed to my car, and having the parking lot right out front made things convenient. I know a lot of tourists visit Jeonju, but I think not just tourists but Jeonju locals who enjoy exercise should definitely stop by here at least once!

I also had some early symptoms of plantar fasciitis, and getting regular massages is probably one way of managing it, don't you think?
