White and black interior of Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch

The interior is clean white and black with orange accents. The bar counter has phone holders and even outlets, so eating alone here is really easy..! It was busy when I visited, so I took photos of the interior after finishing my meal, when it was quieter before break time. Most customers seemed to be solo lunch-goers from around Gyodae Station, and since the shop is spacious, I don't think the wait would be long even at the lunch peak.

Olla Poke menu: customizing and choosing your salad-to-rice ratio

I took photos of the menu! There were so many kinds of poke, and there's even a build-your-own option!? You can pick everything freely, from the base to the toppings, sauce and ingredients.

The signature pokes can be customized the same way, and the base isn't just salad or rice: you can choose the ratio too, which is a total win... There's also a Naver receipt review event and partner offers, so the perks are good.

Self-bar, calorie chart and coffee machine

There's a self-bar too, with sauces like soy sauce but also mouthwash, hair ties and napkins. A spot near Gyodae Station that looks after its customers: have you ever seen a salad place this thoughtful?

Poke & Soup set for ₩13,500: what did I order?

Olla Poke Poke & Soup set with Super Protein Poke and spicy tomato soup

I ordered the Poke & Soup set (₩13,500) at Olla Poke Seocho Gyodae Branch, with the Super Protein Poke (+₩3,500) and the spicy tomato soup. There was a set that included soup, so I went with that.

  • Poke & Soup set ₩13,500
  • Super Protein Poke +₩3,500 (7 parts salad, 3 parts oat brown rice, sriracha mayo sauce)
  • Spicy tomato soup

How does the Super Protein Poke taste?

True to its name, the Super Protein Poke is packed with protein-rich ingredients like salmon, avocado, chicken breast and flying fish roe, so it's generous. I went with the recommended sriracha mayo sauce. I usually drizzle half of it on and dip the toppings in the other half. How do you eat yours? haha

Super Protein Poke with 7 parts salad and 3 parts oat brown rice

Poke is rich in fiber and really filling, so with a 5:5 half-and-half salad and rice base I usually leave some behind. But since you can set the ratio, I went with 7 parts salad and 3 parts oat brown rice and finished every bite.. The salad greens are super fresh, and the salmon and avocado are fresh too. The avocado was especially the kick..! There was pineapple in it too, which surprised me.

Does the spicy tomato soup go well with the poke?

The spicy tomato soup is properly spicy, just like the name says, and went really well with the salad poke. I normally love cream soups and was about to order the mushroom soup, but I picked the witch's soup-style (a tomato vegetable diet soup) spicy tomato soup to cut a few calories.

It's thin, so you can spoon it up like a broth, and a sip after the salmon or avocado, when it gets a little rich, washes it all down. It doesn't have deep flavor, but it's easy and pleasant to eat.

Return your finished tray to the return station! There's an indoor restroom right next to it, which is handy. A place with its restroom inside is the best... ❤️
