What is Special Sushi Osan Branch like?
Special Sushi Osan Branch (특별한초밥 오산점) is a conveyor sushi restaurant at 130 Seongho-daero, Unit 204, Osan, Gyeonggi. Every plate is a flat ₩1,890 except the special plates (₩3,000). It is open daily 11:30–22:00 with a break from 15:00 to 17:00.
According to the restaurant's own intro, you can enjoy more than 80 kinds of sushi plus side dishes, and the chef checks every ingredient personally, even when it gets busy. Dining solo is welcome too, so no need to feel awkward. The staff's motto is that sushi should be fresh, staff should be friendly and the shop should be clean.
How to get to Special Sushi Osan Branch from Osan Station
The restaurant's directions say: leave Osan Station Exit 1 and go left for 109 m, then cross two crosswalks toward the GS convenience store and keep going straight. Cross at the crosswalk in front of Seongsim Clinic, head right toward Starbucks, and you'll see Special Sushi Osan Branch on the 2nd floor. If you can't find it, just call the restaurant.

It's on the 2nd floor. The sign is big, so you can spot it from far away. Come up the stairs and there's a neat, tidy door.

Where do you park at Special Sushi Osan Branch?
The building has no parking lot, so use the nearby Unam Public Parking Lot (운암공영주차장). It's free for the first hour, then ₩250 per 10 minutes.
But Unam Public Parking Lot was packed with cars and I couldn't park there. If it's full, use the Osan City Hall parking lot. It's spacious, so you should find a spot. It's free for 1 hour, then ₩300 per 10 minutes. Just a heads-up!

How long is the Friday evening wait?
On a Friday evening, as soon as we arrived at Special Sushi Osan Branch, the waiting chairs were all taken, so there was a wait. Five groups were ahead of us and we waited about 15 minutes. Tables seem to turn over faster than I expected.

Prices and atmosphere at Special Sushi Osan Branch
Inside, true to a conveyor sushi restaurant, the rail runs in one long line. Each plate is a flat ₩1,890 and only the special menu is ₩3,000, so apart from those, every plate is ₩1,890, which is cheap.

There's also a roulette event, and the prizes are actually pretty good. I wish I'd tried it.. I was so hungry I was too busy eating, ugh.
Round and round it goes~~~ Picking your plates like this is the charm of conveyor sushi, haha.

Why pair conveyor sushi with cold soba
I order cold soba (naengmomil, chilled buckwheat noodles) every time I go to a conveyor sushi place. I ordered it at Special Sushi Osan Branch too. When sushi alone starts to feel heavy or repetitive, the cold soba cools it all down. 😀😀😀

On Friday evening, four chefs were lighting up the night at Special Sushi Osan Branch. They kept putting sushi on the rail so it never ran empty.

How does the sushi taste at Special Sushi Osan Branch?
The fish and the meat on the sushi are both big, and there's plenty of cheese on top. It's really, really good. The sauces, the various meats and the fish come together just right, with a ton of savory umami.

Recommended: tako wasabi and garlic sauce egg sushi
The tako wasabi (chopped octopus with wasabi) at Special Sushi Osan Branch tasted more special than any I'd had before, and I liked it better. I loved how packed it was with filling overall.
And the best sushi of all was this one. Egg with garlic? I have no idea what that sauce is, but it's so good, ugh. I ate three plates of just that. That sauce is seriously crazy, wow. Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️
