Yeonnam-dong café with a receipt-review cookie: Central Site Yeonnam
In short
Central Site Yeonnam is a hand-drip coffee café on Yeonhui-ro in Mapo, Seoul, spread over three floors. Visiting with a friend, the writer picked Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Acid and Colombia Campo Hermoso Caturra Honey Grape Co-fermentation, watched both cups brewed from the 1st-floor bar seats, smelled the beans, and compared the two alongside tiramisu, with a chocolate cookie added for a receipt review. Central Site Yeonnam is a fun stop for anyone who likes knowing exactly what is in the cup.

Which two beans to pick at Central Site Yeonnam, a Yeonnam-dong hand-drip café
Central Site Yeonnam is a café in Yeonnam-dong where you can enjoy hand-drip coffee alongside dessert. I went while wandering Yeonnam-dong looking for a spot with good coffee that also had dessert 🤎
I usually love hand-drip coffee, so I thought about which beans to try and ended up picking two hand-drip beans with a friend! They were:
- ☕️ Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Acid
- ☕️ Colombia Campo Hermoso Caturra Honey Grape Co-fermentation
And to go with the coffee, we also ordered tiramisu 🍰

Three floors, and watching the pour-over from the 1st-floor bar seats
This is the exterior of Central Site Yeonnam — it's spread across 1st to 3rd floors, and from the 1st floor bar seats you can watch the hand-drip process and even smell the aroma, which made for a pretty unique experience.

You can tell they're serious about coffee, right?

What we ordered

There was also a cake topped with strawberries, but what goes with hand-drip coffee better than a classic tiramisu, right?

We got the chocolate cookie by writing a receipt review — yay!!

The Colombia bean made with grape juice: does it really taste like grapes?
Once we ordered, we got to sit here and watch the hand-drip process ☕️☕️☕️

There was a grape-like aroma with a nutty edge, such a unique experience haha. They said they actually add grape juice during processing 🍇 — knowing that really did make a difference from just drinking it blind. Knowing made it taste even more grape-like. Guess you really do see (taste) more of what you know hahahahaha

Interesting... did you know that even the same beans taste different depending on who's doing the hand-drip? haha

What the 2nd-floor seating and the coffee explanation are like
We went up to the 2nd floor — the bathroom is right there, and besides groups of friends, there were also people who came alone to study. It was nice to see people working on themselves.

Once we sat down, staff brought the coffee over and even gave us a brief explanation of each one.

How the Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Acid tastes
We started with the Guatemala Entre Volcanes 2026 Acid ☕️. Maybe because it was hand-drip, the coffee aroma rose up gently, and one sip felt clean and refreshing — that impression really stuck with me! You could feel the characteristic flavor of Guatemalan beans without it lingering heavily, so it was easy to sip slowly.
At first there's a subtle acidity, and as you go on, a nutty, deep flavor follows ☕️. Personally, when the acidity in hand-drip coffee is too strong it can feel overwhelming, but this one went down clean so I could enjoy it comfortably. Perfect match with the tiramisu!!!!

How the Colombia Campo Hermoso Caturra Honey Grape Co-fermentation tastes
Watching the big ice cube slowly melt in this hand-drip was fascinating too — the Colombia Campo Hermoso Caturra Honey Grape Co-fermentation! The name itself was so unusual I was curious what it would taste like, and comparing it right after the Guatemala bean made the differences even clearer.
Overall it was a coffee with a soft, subtle sweetness, and true to the 'grape' in its name, it had a fun, sweet grape-like nuance 🍇. It was surprising to get such fruity flavor notes even though it's coffee! The finish was especially smooth, so it was nice to sip slowly and savor the aroma.
It was fun realizing how different the mood of aroma and taste can be between beans even with the same hand-drip method. So switching back and forth between the two cups, comparing 'this one feels like this, that one feels like that,' made it even more enjoyable 🤎

On top of that, finishing it off with a tiramisu piled high with chocolate made it perfect. Hand-drip really is unique and appealing — I had a lovely time at Central Site Yeonnam, a Yeonnam-dong café ☕️
