Haeundae bakery: scallion cream cheese salt bread tops 5, Zoblack
In short
Zoblack is a salt bread and dessert bakery at the entrance to Marine City in Haeundae, Busan. On a weekday visit, five Zoblack salt breads (plain, almond, scallion cream cheese, pollock roe and sweet rice cake) were boxed to go and reheated in an air fryer at home. The plain salt bread was crisp outside, soft inside and rich with butter, and the scallion cream cheese was the best ever tasted, making Zoblack a bakery worth recommending to salt bread lovers and anyone looking for a Busan dessert gift.

The 5 Zoblack salt breads I boxed to go
This day at Zoblack I picked five salt breads to take away: plain, rice cake, almond, pollock roe and scallion cream cheese. I didn't eat them right away; I took them home and reheated them in the air fryer.
- Plain salt bread: ₩2,800
- Rice cake salt bread: ₩3,800
- Almond salt bread: ₩3,800
- Pollock roe salt bread: ₩4,200
- Scallion cream cheese salt bread: ₩4,200

Look at my golden, delicious-looking breads 🤎 I wanted to eat them right then, but I carefully carried them home.

Plain salt bread: butter oozes out after the air fryer
As expected, plain is the original salt bread! Zoblack's plain one is generously sprinkled with salt, which makes it look even tastier 😋
I warmed it briefly in the air fryer and got a crackly crust with butter pooling at the bottom 🧈
Crisp outside, moist inside, and the inside is fluffy! With its butter holes and real butter flavor, it was nutty and salty, and I finished one in a flash 🐽

Almond salt bread: sweet, salty and mild
An almond salt bread piled high with sugar-coated almonds!

Sweet, nutty almonds with salty salt make a sweet-and-salty combo 👍🏻 It has a mild flavor that I think older folks would really like.

Scallion cream cheese salt bread: the best I've ever had
Zoblack's scallion cream cheese salt bread has an unusual number of reviews saying it's delicious 🤩
It's packed with cream cheese, so it's very hefty, and at around ₩4,000 the price is kind of nice too ➰

As a total cream cheese addict, this hit my taste right on 👀 It's tangy and thick but not too heavy... anyway, I'm giving it first place among all the scallion cream cheese ones I've tried 🥇

Pollock roe salt bread: not fishy, great with beer
The moment it's warmed, the salty smell of pollock roe hits your nose, with seaweed flakes sprinkled on top 🤤
Seeing how packed with roe it is, you can't even imagine how good it is, right? 💦

It isn't fishy at all and it's nicely salty, so I think it would be perfect as a beer snack too. Officially a Busan pollock roe salt bread hotspot 🫶🏻

Sweet rice cake salt bread: always eat it warm
If you have a grandma's taste, you have to pick the rice cake salt bread. For the stretchy rice cake between the crackly salt bread layers, definitely warm it up 🔥

It has a chewy texture and is packed with sweet red bean, so you get a mix of textures and flavors. I recommend it as a dessert 👏🏻

Is Zoblack salt bread a good Busan dessert gift?
Zoblack also does neat box packaging, so it's perfect as a Busan dessert gift!

The salt breads and desserts are all really delicious at Zoblack, a Busan bakery famous for salt bread. If you're a salt bread lover, definitely stop by 🧂
