In short
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger (좌수영바게트버거) is a baguette burger and dessert café at Yi Sun-sin Square in Yeosu, across from the Jinnamgwan public parking lot. Dining in requires one menu item per person, and the order was two Jwasuyeong baguette burgers (6,000 won each), a Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort ice cream (4,000 won) and a box of Jwasuyeong chubby macarons (18,000 won), 34,000 won in total. Hi, this is Song Yupi. On my recent trip to Yeosu, there were so many delicious spots around Yi Sun-sin Square, but the one I picked was Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger — the place that's been on the TV show 2TV Saengsaeng Jeongbo!
It's located right across from the Jinnamgwan public parking lot, so it's super convenient to park and go straight in to eat.
Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger hours and parking
- ⏰ Hours: Daily 9:30–20:00 / open year-round, may close early if ingredients run out
- 🚘 No parking on-site: the Jinnamgwan public parking lot right in front offers the first hour free
Exterior: the Yi Sun-sin Square baguette burger shop seen on TV

Apparently, Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger was chosen as one of the top 5 Yeosu desserts by Park Bo-gum and Lee Sang-yi on episode 276 of 1 Night 2 Days (Yeosu edition), haha. And I heard famous chef Jung Ji-sun visited recently too.
Seating and the one-item-per-person dine-in rule

The interior was clean and pleasant with white-toned decor! There were plenty of seats, so quite a few people were eating in, but a lot were taking out too. If you dine in, it's one menu item per person!

Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger opened in 2016 and has been at this spot near Yi Sun-sin Square for almost 10 years. Apparently this location is presumed to be a well from the site of Bokpadang, where turtle ships were built during the Joseon dynasty — whoa.

You can get a free drink for leaving a receipt review, so give it a try, haha.

The chubby macarons turned out to be famous! They're made in collaboration with a dessert specialty company that has HACCP certification. Since Yeosu is famous for mugwort, they combined three mugwort flavors with strawberry milk and cookies and cream — flavors kids would love — for five total.

It seemed like there were more takeout customers inside, but the staff were kind even while busy, haha.

Being in a tourist area, it's great for accessibility since you can easily stop by other nearby spots too! And being right in front of the parking lot is 100 points!!💯

Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger menu and what we ordered

The most famous item is the baguette burger, and the rest are snacks — the mugwort ice cream and chubby macarons are also famous. We
- Jwasuyeong baguette burger (₩6,000) x2
- Geomundo sea-breeze mugwort ice cream (₩4,000) x1
- Jwasuyeong chubby macarons (₩18,000) x1
ordered and ate.
Mugwort ice cream and chubby macarons

Ta-da! Since we said we were eating in, they served it like this, and when we packed the leftovers to go later, they put the macarons in an insulated bag with an ice pack.

I totally recommend the mugwort ice cream, haha — if you like mugwort, you'll definitely love this flavor! The mugwort taste comes through strong but there's almost no bitterness, and it's sweet, so even kids who don't like mugwort would enjoy it. The macaron shells were crispy and colorful, so pretty to look at, hahaha. The cream inside was soft too.

Why the Jwasuyeong baguette burger is a must-try
This is the baguette burger you absolutely must try at Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger! They use top-grade meat sourced from a HACCP-certified meat supplier, adding fresh vegetables and a secret sauce, packing it all densely into the baguette, haha. There's a lot of meat and a lot of vegetables, so eating just one filled me up. It's not an overly strong flavor (it's mild), but as you eat, spicy chili pieces show up here and there and it's delicious! That crunchy spicy chili seems to be the kicker.

Normally I don't reach for baguettes because they're too hard, but the Jwasuyeong baguette is crispy outside and packed with delicious fillings inside, so it's so tasty, haha. But eating the baguette made me crave a drink too, hahaha — I'd recommend the baguette burger + drink combo, then finishing off with the ice cream. For anyone looking for good food, snacks, or cafés at Yi Sun-sin Square in Yeosu, I recommend Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger ❤️ Even if you skip everything else, you have to try the baguette burger.
