Ulsan pork rib lunch special near Ilsan Beach: Deungdae Galbi

Dedicated parking and the exterior menu

This good restaurant by Ilsan Beach in Ulsan has its own parking lot, which made parking nice and easy. It had started to rain, so I got out first and my husband went to park~!

A photo of the exterior before going in. The owner's face, I think, was proudly displayed right there on the sign!! Places with a face on the sign just give off such a great-restaurant smell, so I trusted it right away.

They had the menu available to look over outside. Their main offerings are handmade pork ribs for ₩9,800, beef rib meat for ₩9,800, fresh pork belly for ₩9,800, and marinated pork neck for ₩11,800. They are open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Nationwide delivery orders are available too. I think you can search for Deungdae Galbi on Naver. This was my second visit; on my first, I had brought my parents here. I remembered that everyone had been happy with it then.

A restaurant busy even at lunch

We went in, were shown to a table, and sat down. They told us to sit wherever we felt comfortable. The staff were kind.

We arrived a little early, so there were plenty of open tables~ By the time we were eating, it was full. I thought, they have a wait in the evening, but lunch is popular too.

Two pork rib lunch specials and extra meat

This time, we decided to try the lunch-special menu. We ordered two pork rib lunch specials, then added one serving of meat afterward.

They brought out the pork and all the side dishes to have with it. I was pleased by how generously the food was served. Everything was set out to make the meal even more delicious together.

It was my husband's first visit to Taewangam Deungdae Galbi Main Branch in Ulsan. Since I had raved about it as I brought him here, he seemed even more excited, haha.

It is delicious, but you can get tired of it as you eat; they also serve spicy side dishes, so we could enjoy it deliciously right through to the end.

First, the pork ribs from our lunch special arrived. You can choose stew or naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) with it, so it seemed like plenty for two, but it was so good that we added more.

They quickly brought out our added serving too. It had bones attached, so it was fun to grill it and gnaw the meat off the bone, haha.

Can you see his totally concentrated double chin as he lifted the meat to grill it?! He was incredibly excited even before eating.

We put it on the grill and started cooking. The scored grain meant it cooked evenly all the way through.

Delicious pork ribs from lunchtime onward ♥ What an overwhelmingly happy moment! This Ilsan Beach restaurant in Ulsan was especially tasty, so I was very satisfied.

Enjoying wraps and the meal too

Once they were cooked, he portioned them onto our small plates. They disappear in no time when you eat them with all the accompaniments ㅠㅠㅠ The best.

They are great as ssam (lettuce wraps), too. I lightly cooked the garlic, dipped it in ssamjang, and ate it together. Left) my wrap, right) my husband's! We differ in our wasabi preferences.

Along with lettuce, they serve cabbage and kelp too. Add salted seafood and you can enjoy a completely different flavor.

For our second round, we moved the cooked pork ribs to the side of the grill and finished eating them. It is close to Ilsan Beach and Daewangam Park, making it a nice stop on an outing route.

You order the meal on a tablet, and it is included with the special. You can leave feeling properly full.

It comes separately in an individual ttukbaegi (earthenware pot), and you can choose spicy or regular, so pick according to your taste. The seafood gave it a lovely clean flavor too.

When you enjoy it in so many ways, the meat from this Ilsan Beach restaurant in Ulsan disappears, and you end up wanting to order more.

They score the meat so well that simply watching it cook is enough to make your mouth water—magic, haha! I was very, very happy with my return visit too.

Taewangam Deungdae Galbi in Ulsan is also a great place to bring your parents. The sweet-and-salty flavor goes over well with kids too! I recommend it for a family meal out.

When everything was cooked, we asked them to turn off the heat. A staff member came over and said, “You grilled the meat well~” My husband was so pleased to hear it—he remembered getting excited, saying his skills had been recognized even by a barbecue restaurant, hahaha.

For dessert, I had the sikhye (sweet rice drink) at the counter. Ending on something sweet as we headed out put me in such a good mood!
