Gimhae sushi restaurant comparing flame-seared and raw sets: Sushi Hwa
Sushi Hwa is a flame-seared sushi (bulchobap) restaurant midway along Bongridan-gil in Gimhae, Gyeongnam. On a weekday visit at 2pm, the flame-seared sushi set at 15,000 won, the raw sushi set at 15,000 won, and wagyu 5 pieces plus 1 fried tofu sushi at 7,000 won were ordered together to compare the two sets. The smoky, spicy-and-garlic sauced flame-seared sushi was the more memorable of the two, and since one set alone is a little light, adding a side is worth it.
