Haeundae restaurant near Cheongsapo with a 3-section hall: Bueokgan

On the last day of the Liberation Day long weekend, I stopped by Bueokgan Haeundae Branch for lunch on my way to Cheongsapo.

I'd been to other Bueokgan branches before, but this was my first time at the Haeundae location. It's a standalone building, so it was easy to find, and I liked how spacious and comfortable the place felt.

The view through the full-length windows and the generous spacing between tables made it feel great for a date or a family meal too.

A standalone building on the road to Cheongsapo, easy to find

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch sits right on the road to Cheongsapo. Since it's a standalone building, it's pretty visible from the street, so even on my first visit I found it without any trouble.

There's a lot to see nearby, so it seemed like a good idea to build a Cheongsapo date course around a meal here, either before or after.

Inside the 100-pyeong hall, split into three sections

Being a 100-pyeong space, it was much bigger and more comfortable than I expected. Even with tons of tables, the spacing between them was wide, so I never felt crowded by the next table over.

What stood out most was that the space isn't just one big room — it's divided into three sections, and each one has a slightly different mood.

The full-length windows let you take in the outside view while you eat, which added to the atmosphere. Overall it felt open and relaxed rather than cramped, making it a good fit for family meals, dates, or group gatherings alike.

Even visiting at noon on a weekend, the large space meant I could still eat fairly comfortably.

What we ordered at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch

Bueokgan has a wide range of Western dishes on the menu — pizza, pasta, risotto, and more.

This time we mostly ordered our favorites: abalone cream risotto, sweet potato fries, and truffle mushroom pizza. We'd enjoyed the abalone cream risotto and sweet potato fries at other branches before, so we ordered them again — this was actually our third time ordering both.

Abalone cream risotto

This is the dish I never skip whenever I come to Bueokgan. This time too it came topped with fried enoki mushrooms, and paired with the creamy abalone-liver sauce, it was just as good as ever.

The fact that I keep ordering it even after trying it at multiple branches tells me it's the dish my family enjoys most at Bueokgan.

Sweet potato fries

The sweet potato fries were also our third order. Crispy on the outside and soft with sweetness on the inside, they made a great side to snack on between bites of the main dishes.

They're especially easy to share with kids, so I naturally end up ordering them every time I visit Bueokgan.

Truffle mushroom pizza

This time we tried something new: truffle mushroom pizza. The moment it arrived, the generous pile of mushrooms and cheese caught our eye.

There was so much cheese it was melting and dripping down the sides, and every bite carried a subtle mushroom aroma. If you like the smell of truffle and mushrooms, this pizza will hit the spot, and it paired well alongside a softer dish like the abalone cream risotto.

Is Bueokgan Haeundae Branch worth a visit?

I'd already been happy with other Bueokgan branches, so I was curious about the Haeundae location — and once I got there, what I liked most was the spacious, comfortable atmosphere.

The abalone cream risotto and sweet potato fries were satisfying as always, and the truffle mushroom pizza, which we tried for the first time, was also delicious thanks to its generous mushrooms and cheese.

Since it's located right on the way to Cheongsapo, it seems like a great fit for anyone looking for a place to eat during a Cheongsapo outing or a date. The spacious layout also made it feel suited to family meals or group gatherings.
