What did we eat at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon?
At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe, the two of us ordered Americanos brewed with Geisha beans, one hot and one iced, and shared a chicken sandwich. We had been looking for a comfortable place for coffee in Gangnam, and we left happy: the aroma and taste of the coffee were great, and the sandwich was satisfying too. I especially liked that it is open 24 hours, so you can drop by whenever you like.

Where is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon?
The café is at 31 Gangnam-daero 79-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the first floor. It is close to Exit 1 of Sinnonhyeon Station, so it is easy to reach by public transport. The area around Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station is busy, and plans often run late into the night. In a spot like that, a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station is a real plus, I think.

What are the atmosphere and seating like?
The café feels clean and stylish, with plenty of space and several kinds of seating, so you can pick a spot to suit your purpose. It felt good for chatting with a friend, and also fine for coming alone and spending some quiet time.

Seats for laptop work and study, and outlets
I was impressed that there are seats for people studying alone or working on a laptop. There are also spots with power outlets, which should be handy for office workers and students. It is not the kind of café where you just grab a coffee and leave; it is a place where you can stay as long as you need.

The interior was tidy overall. The tables and the ordering area were kept clean, and the seats were spaced so it never felt cramped. The lighting was calm rather than harsh, which made it nice to sit and talk over coffee.

Can you choose your beans at Selecto Coffee?
A hallmark of Selecto Coffee is that when you order an Americano, you can choose from a variety of beans. Most cafés offer very little choice, but here it was fun to pick a coffee to suit your taste. Coffee lovers will probably find this quite appealing.
This time we chose the Geisha beans. Geisha is a coffee variety known for its bright aroma and delicate flavor. Curious how it would differ from an ordinary Americano, we ordered one hot and one iced.

How does a hot Geisha Americano differ from an iced one?
Even with the same Geisha beans, the hot cup gave off a subtle, rising aroma, while the iced one felt crisper and more refreshing. Taste and aroma shift a little with temperature, so comparing the two was fun. With a bean like Geisha, where aroma matters so much, I liked that hot and cold each had their own charm.
Hot Geisha Americano
I tried the hot Geisha Americano first. Bringing the cup close, I caught a subtle, fragrant coffee scent. Unlike coffee built around a strong bitterness, the aroma came across soft and bright, which impressed me.

The first sip was quite clean too. It was not overly bitter or heavy; it went down smoothly, and the coffee's fresh flavor really came through. The slower I drank, the more I enjoyed the aroma, so I would recommend it to coffee lovers.
The hot Americano was especially good for taking in the aroma at a leisurely pace. A gentle scent rose with every sip, and the aftertaste was clean. I drink Americanos often, but it is part of coffee's charm that different beans give such different flavors.
Iced Geisha Americano
Next came the iced Geisha Americano. Made from the same beans, it felt a little crisper and more refreshing when cold. It went down cool, yet the bean's characteristic aroma was still there, which I was happy about.
I especially liked the clean aftertaste of the iced one. It was easy to drink, without any overly strong or muddy feeling, and the cold temperature made the fresh flavor come through even more. If you usually drink iced Americanos, I think you should try it with Geisha beans.

Many people searching for a 24-hour café near Sinnonhyeon Station probably want good coffee late at night. Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has the advantage of long hours, but I think it is also competitive because you can choose your beans. I especially liked being able to enjoy Geisha beans as an Americano.

Is the Selecto Coffee chicken sandwich enough for a meal?
The chicken sandwich at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon has a good filling and was perfectly fine as a simple meal. People often think of café sandwiches as just a light snack, but this chicken sandwich was more than that.

Looking at the sandwich, it had chicken and vegetables inside and looked appetizing. The filling was generously packed between the bread, and it looked neat overall. It seemed like a good match for coffee, so I was looking forward to it.
In the first bite, the soft bread and the mild flavor of the chicken blended well. The chicken was moist, not dry, so it was easy to eat, and the vegetables added a nice texture. The crunchy vegetables and tender chicken worked together and made the sandwich feel well put together.

Geisha Americano and chicken sandwich together
It paired especially well with the Geisha Americano. After enjoying the sandwich's mild, savory taste, a sip of coffee left my mouth feeling clean. The coffee and sandwich never overpowered each other and blended naturally, so it was a satisfying combination.

Can you print at Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon?
I hear Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon also has a printing service. When you suddenly need to print a document, finding a separate place to do it can be a hassle. Being able to drink coffee and print at the same café seems very convenient for students and office workers.
We did not use the printing service on this visit, but I was impressed that the café has this kind of facility. It felt like a distinctive charm that it offers everyday conveniences beyond simply selling drinks.

Who would we recommend Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon to?
At Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe, I was satisfied with everything: the atmosphere, the service, the taste of the coffee and the friendliness of the staff. The large, clean space let us stay comfortably, and we enjoyed the Geisha Americano and the chicken sandwich.
I would recommend it to anyone looking for a café in Gangnam that stays open late, or who wants to choose their beans and enjoy their coffee that way. It also seems like a decent choice for people who need a place to study or work on a laptop.
