I was craving jjamppong with a rich broth, so I went with the whole family. Here's my review :)
Is parking easy at Oneureun Jjamppong Ddaenggineun Nal?
Yes, there's parking and the lot is big. Maybe because it's open 24 hours a day all year, the lot was huge and the spaces were nicely roomy!

Do you need to book at Oneureun Jjamppong Ddaenggineun Nal?
You can reserve by phone, and I'd recommend it at lunch or dinner if you have a bigger group. We called ahead, so we sat down right away without waiting!

If you go around lunch or dinner time, there may be no free seats, so I recommend booking ahead if your group is large~!
What are the interior and seating like?

The restaurant (nicknamed Ojjamddaeng, 오짬땡) has 4-person tables, single tables and group seating, so it looked fine for family gatherings or group meals. I was surprised by how spacious it was the moment I walked in!
Wow, this must be a hidden jjamppong gem. There were loads of customers from the entrance, and every single table had a bowl of jjamppong on it, haha.
Menu and jjamppong types

The menu is divided into noodles, rice dishes, tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and other dishes, and there were 5 kinds of jjamppong: yakki (stir-fried), bone-broth, meat, extra-spicy and brisket. They also had a wide range of alcohol, from soju to gaoliang liquor. True to a jjamppong specialist, there's more than one kind of jjamppong!
For two or more people, the special set menus looked good too. We ordered 2 bone-broth jjamppong, 1 jjamppong rice and 1 jjajangmyeon!
What can you take from the self-bar?

At the self-bar you can take pickled radish, utensils, ice and more, and you can also help yourself to unlimited rice! Of course, when you're eating jjamppong broth you start craving rice 👍🏻
How was the bone-broth jjamppong (₩9,000)?

The bone-broth jjamppong is ₩9,000: a clean-tasting broth made from rich bone stock simmered in a cauldron, packed with squid and vegetables. First of all, the portion was really big, and it had a slight fire-grilled flavor. It was so good, haha.
It was a little spicy for me and I broke a sweat, but it felt like curing a hangover from drinking a month ago, hehe. So good~~ A great jjamppong place 👍🏻

The noodles were springy and slurped right down!! 🤤🤤🤤
What is the jjamppong rice (₩9,000) like?

The jjamppong rice is ₩9,000: the same broth base as the bone-broth jjamppong, just without the noodles. My husband ordered it. He expected glass noodles inside, but it was just vegetables and seafood, which made it perfect with rice, he said!
If you run short of rice, you can grab more from the self-bar, haha. Best value,,,!

The broth looks super spicy but it isn't that hot! Just enough to make beads of sweat form on your nose..? haha
Is the jjajangmyeon (₩7,000) at a jjamppong specialist any good?

The jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) is ₩7,000. My mother-in-law, who can't eat spicy food, ordered it and said it was tasty. I'd worried it might be less good at a jjamppong place, but she enjoyed it!
What to try next time
We didn't order the tangsuyuk that day, but other reviews say it's really good here too,, so next time I'll order it as well. If you're looking for Chinese food near Myeongdeok Station, I recommend Oneureun Jjamppong Ddaenggineun Nal~! The jjamppong was really good 👍🏻
