What kind of Korean BBQ is Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch?

When people think of a pork belly place in Bucheon's Sinjung-dong, this is usually the first one that comes to mind — a real local favorite that's always buzzing with people no matter when you go. That's [Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch] ✨, the place I'm introducing today. I'd always noticed how crowded it looked whenever I passed by, and this time I was craving pork belly so badly that I finally went to check it out! It's open 24 hours, every single day, so if you're looking for a place that's still going late into the night, I'd definitely recommend it~!

Friday evening at Cham Dwaejitgan: any wait?
I went on a Friday evening and it was seriously packed, but the place is just as big as the crowd, so even without a reservation I got seated with no wait at all! It's got a good vibe for groups too, so if you're looking for a spot for a company dinner, I'd suggest booking ahead. The overall atmosphere is lively and buzzing, which made it easy and comfortable to chat with the people I was with! And maybe because the weather was nice, the windows were wide open, so it didn't smell too much like grilled meat and the ventilation was great — overall it felt really pleasant~!

Unlimited side dishes at the self-bar
There's a self-bar tucked in the corner where the side dishes are all unlimited, and honestly, with lettuce prices these days, being able to eat as much as you want without worry was a real plus. Every single side dish paired perfectly with the meat — there wasn't a single one I didn't like!

Black pork ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly) ₩19,000 Black pork neck ₩18,000 Regular pork belly ₩16,000 Flower pork neck ₩16,000 Pork jowl ₩19,000 Pork shoulder blade ₩19,000 [Sides] Kimchi jjigae ₩7,000 Doenjang jjigae ₩6,000 Steamed egg ₩5,000 Cold/spicy noodles ₩7,000 Margarine soy egg rice ₩3,000 Fried rice ₩3,000 Rice ₩1,000

Kimchi grilled right alongside the pork
All the side dishes were already set out before I even sat down, which meant no waiting around — such a nice touch. And the grill itself was set up so I could cook kimchi, bean sprouts, minari (Korean watercress), and mushrooms right alongside the meat! It's designed so the kimchi doesn't get sauce on the meat, but still picks up the pork fat as it cooks — which is such a clever setup and made everything taste even better 🫶 For kimchi and other sides like that, you can just grab as much as you want from the self-bar I mentioned earlier!

Staff grill the meat for you at the table

And here's the thing — you don't have to grill the meat yourself, which is genuinely so convenient, and everything came out cooked perfectly and ready to eat!! When I grill pork belly myself, my hands get splattered with grease and honestly I'm just not great at it, so it's always a bit of a hassle. But here, the staff grilled every single piece and even laid it out ready to eat, which made everything so much easier~!

How the crispy-skin black pork ogyeopsal tasted, and ordering seconds
Ah, and above all, the taste of the meat matters most, right? The meat here was seriously chewy and so delicious that I actually clapped after the first bite. The ogyeopsal (five-layer pork belly) was my favorite in particular — the balance of lean meat and fat was fantastic, and the skin was so crispy that I ended up ordering another round of just that ✨✨

Finishing with kudzu-noodle naengmyeon
I also ordered the naengmyeon (cold noodles) as an extra, and since the noodles were made from kudzu, the chewy texture really stood out. The broth was super refreshing and clean, and it paired perfectly with the pork belly — really delicious.
Is Cham Dwaejitgan good for a meal with kids?

It's a great restaurant to visit with kids — they have kids' tableware ready, and they even handed out candy like this on the way out~! I was satisfied with absolutely everything, from start to finish, so I recommend [Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch], my favorite pork belly spot in Bucheon Sinjung-dong 💖
