The relaxed atmosphere and the food were both satisfying, so I had a great meal. Definitely a place I want to come back to!

Low Five Anguk's overseas-style interior and service

Low Five is a 5-minute walk from Exit 2 of Anguk Station. The exterior itself has such an exotic feel that the mood was already different before I even walked in.

Inside, there was more seating than I expected, and the overall atmosphere was really nice.

The open kitchen was also stylish. It looked super busy back there haha.

From hot sauce to grated cheese to wet wipes, everything you might need was set out for you to grab yourself — very convenient.

Even the water wasn't just plain — they had it prepped ice-cold and frozen! I visited on a hot day, so this thoughtful touch was very much appreciated 😊

What to order at Low Five Anguk

I ordered a zero-sugar cola and an orange juice — and the orange juice wasn't just regular juice, it was fresh-squeezed. One sip and I could taste the actual orange pulp; it was rich and refreshing. Totally recommend it!

I ordered the signature corn pizza along with avocado kimchi fried rice (kimchi and rice stir-fried together). Choosing these two was honestly a genius move. Both dishes were excellent with nothing lacking, and getting to enjoy two completely different flavors made it even better.

Corn pizza topped with whole corn kernels
I eat pizza pretty often since I love it, but this was my first time seeing a pizza topped with whole ears of corn. The golden-roasted whole corn sitting on top of the pizza gave it a really unique look from the start.

White truffle cream, bacon, and chili shrimp all came together, and the combination was really good.

There was a slight spicy-sweet flavor going on, and I'm not exaggerating — it was so good I kept thinking, 'How did they even come up with this combination?' The nutty sweetness of the whole corn added even more, and I couldn't stop reaching for another bite!

What I loved most was the crust at the edge of the pizza. Golden and crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside — it was delicious even eaten on its own.

I'd also recommend sprinkling a bit of grated cheese on top. It adds a different layer of flavor compared to eating it plain, and it's even more delicious that way. Honestly it's great whichever way you eat it.

Avocado kimchi fried rice at Low Five Anguk
This is the avocado kimchi fried rice. I ordered the version with avocado.

It's kimchi fried rice topped with avocado and soft scrambled egg. At first I thought, 'Why is a pizza place serving kimchi fried rice?' but one bite completely changed my mind, haha.

It's genuinely one of the best kimchi fried rice dishes I've ever had. I'd honestly come back alone just for lunch and order nothing but this.

Kimchi fried rice and fried egg are an inseparable pair, right? Pairing it with such soft scrambled egg here worked really well.

And the avocado on top made me think, 'what's this combination about?' at first — but after tasting it, it clearly wasn't there by accident. It softened the spiciness of the kimchi fried rice and brought the whole flavor into balance! The owner... clearly had it all figured out, haha. The avocado was also perfectly ripened, soft and easy to eat.

The fried rice, made with well-fermented kimchi and ham stir-fried just right, is one you never get tired of no matter how much you eat.
Is Low Five Anguk worth a visit in Bukchon?
I went in with high expectations because it's such a famous place, and visiting in person, I understood exactly why so many people come here. The space had a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly, so I felt good the whole meal. Best of all, this isn't a one-and-done kind of place — it's somewhere I'll look forward to returning to whenever I'm back in Bukchon, wondering what to try next.
