Seorae Village room restaurant with free parking: Bistro Chai Plus

In short

Bistro Chai Plus is a Western fine-dining restaurant with all private-room seating near Seorae Village and Naebang Station in Seocho, Seoul. We ordered both lunch courses — 58,000 won with lamb chops and 78,000 won with Korean beef steak — and worked through Caesar salad, potato soup, chai gangjeong, sea urchin buckwheat noodles and milk bingsu, while parking free inside the building and paying 10,000 won corkage on wine bought at the ground-floor shop. The green-view rooms make Bistro Chai Plus an easy pick for a blind date or a wedding-invitation lunch.

I was looking for a good date spot near Naebang Station and found this while scrolling through Seorae Village restaurant lists — I wanted somewhere quiet with a good atmosphere, ideally a private room. Bistro Chai Plus kept coming up as a Seorae Village brunch spot, so I was curious, and I got a good chance to visit. I liked that it's entirely private rooms, and I'd heard the lunch course was really substantial, so I went in with high expectations. It's not too far from Naebang Station either, so access wasn't bad. After visiting, I thought the room atmosphere would also work well for blind dates or wedding-invitation get-togethers in Seorae Village!

Parking and corkage rules at Bistro Chai Plus

Bistro Chai Plus has free parking inside the building, which made driving there easy. Everything's fine except large SUVs. If parking is difficult, they'll help with valet too. And notably, the first floor is a wine shop — if you buy wine there, you can bring it in for just ₩10,000 corkage!

The ground-floor wine shop and the private rooms

On the first floor there's a wine shop called Winery Tenuta, and the selection was genuinely huge. You can buy good wine there and enjoy it for ₩10,000 corkage per bottle.

Bistro Chai Plus, a Seorae Village favorite, is set up entirely with private rooms, so it was great for eating privately.

The room we were shown had greenery visible through the window — the two inner rooms have green views!

The view outside the window was pretty, so it also looked great for a blind date or a wedding-invitation gathering.

Overall the vibe was clean and calm, so it made a great first impression, and the space is pretty for photos too!

Lunch course menu and prices

Bistro Chai Plus lunch and dinner course menu

You can choose from three lunch course price tiers — the composition is the same, only the main changes. Dinner also lets you choose from three courses the same way! We went for lunch and each picked a different course!

Lunch 58.0 / 78.0 — Caesar salad / seasonal soup / chai gangjeong (Chai's fried chicken) / buckwheat noodles / main (lamb chops or Korean beef steak) / dessert

Caesar salad served as the first course

Caesar salad

The course started with a Caesar salad — romaine with bacon and toasted breadcrumbs.

The dressing was tangy and salty, which made a great starter.

Potato soup

Potato soup served as the seasonal soup

This is the seasonal soup the chef prepares fresh each day — that day it was potato soup, and it was warm and smooth.

The potato was diced and had this really curious texture — like it had been boiled then fried — really delicious!

Chai gangjeong (crispy glazed fried chicken)

Chai gangjeong tossed in a spicy-sweet sauce

This is boneless chicken thigh, fried and tossed in a spicy-sweet sauce. I understood right away why the restaurant is named after this dish. Freshly fried and crispy — the kind of flavor I'd want to learn the recipe for and make at home!

Sea urchin buckwheat noodles (memil makguksu)

Buckwheat noodles topped with cucumber and perilla oil

This is buckwheat noodles topped with cucumber and perilla oil. The ₩78,000 lunch course also gets sea urchin roe on top, and it turned out to pair surprisingly well with the perilla oil noodles. The subtle sea urchin aroma coming through was a nice touch.

A perfect palate cleanser right before the main!

Lamb chops, main of the 58,000 won lunch course

This is the main of the ₩58,000 lunch course — lamb chops grilled in Isigny butter.

It comes out on a hot stone plate, so you can cook it further to your liking. The minari (water dropwort) served alongside cut through any richness really well — a great pairing!

Korean beef steak, main of the 78,000 won lunch course

The main of the ₩78,000 lunch course — Korean beef steak! It's top-grade Korean beef, and for a lunch in the 70,000-won range, that felt like great value even among Seorae Village's Western dining restaurants! Cooked medium-rare, the steak was so tender it just melted in the mouth.

The mashed potatoes on the side were a great match too!

Dessert: milk bingsu

Milk bingsu dessert topped with red beans and injeolmi

I was happy to see milk bingsu (shaved ice) topped with quality red beans and injeolmi (rice cake) arrive — it tasted like nostalgia, haha. A satisfying way to finish off with dessert!

Is Bistro Chai Plus right for a blind date or wedding-invitation lunch?

Table at Bistro Chai Plus after the meal is finished

Even as a private-room restaurant, the course felt substantial for the price, so it was a Seorae Village brunch spot you could visit without worrying about your wallet. A lot of places like this nail the atmosphere but disappoint on food — this one gets both the taste and the space right, which is great! The course flow was natural and both mains were high quality, so I found myself wanting to come back for the next anniversary. Recommended for anyone wanting a quiet date in Seorae Village, or looking for a place for a blind date or wedding-invitation gathering.
