Seochon Nugak is a Korean rice bowl restaurant on Hyehwa-ro in Seongbuk, Seoul, a short walk from Hansung University Station. A married couple arrived right at the 11:00 opening and split the beef brisket minari (water dropwort) rice bowl and the shrimp and octopus rice bowl, and the deeply flavored seaweed soup, chewy octopus and tender, never-stringy minari stood out. Seochon Nugak only serves from 11:00 to 15:00 with last order at 14:00, but it is an easy, unintimidating lunch to bring anyone to.
