Kadayif-packed Dubai salt bread at a Byeollae bakery: Byway Bakers
In short
Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is a takeout-only bakery right outside Exit 4 of Byeollae Byeolgaram Station in Namyangju, Gyeonggi. A regular of 5 years went for the new wakppu salt bread and ate the Dubai salt bread (₩7,500) and the fresh peach yogurt wakppu salt bread (₩8,500) on the bench beside the shop, and even a friend who doesn't care for desserts was impressed. Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch brings in trending desserts quickly, yet its plain salt bread still has wonderfully flaky layers.

Where is Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch?
Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch (바이웨이 베이커스 별내점) is at 27-10 Deoksong 2-ro 10beon-gil, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Unit 104 on the 1st floor, and it is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00. Delivery, takeout, reservations, easy pay, parking and local currency all work here.

I went to my beloved Byway Bakers because I heard the hottest-of-the-hot new wakppu salt bread (a trendy salt bread with a thick chocolate coating) had just come out. Byway Byeollae is always the number one name when people recommend a Byeollae salt bread spot, so here is a post from a 5-year regular, a for-real Byeollae egg tart recommendation too. Let's go, haha.

Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is basically a trip-and-you're-there distance from Exit 4 of Byeollae Byeolgaram Station. Please don't actually trip though ^^ Even walking, it takes 30 seconds, lol.
Happiness in a BYWAY — small everyday happiness, Byway Bakers

What kind of bakery is Byway Bakers?
Byway Bakers is a bakery brand that bakes desserts in the shop with premium ingredients and sells them at reasonable prices. The prices are good, but do you know what's even better?
They bring in trendy desserts right away, lol

Byway hopped on the wakppu salt bread craze early. Dujjonku (Dubai chewy cookie), sponge cake fresh cream bread, pineapple buns, chocolate baguettes, they really have everything hot right now!!!

There's a reason it was picked as a flagship store for the <National Snack Project> haha. Hats off to this single-minded drive to show trendy desserts first 👏👏👏 They say they focus on perfecting every product, aiming to be a "national snack" you never get tired of eating every day.
Fall fig new menu and fruit-like packaging
For fall, Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is pouring out new items with figs, in the wakppu salt bread and in the pistachio tart too!..🥺🥺🥺

Packaging sense: you can feel the effort.
This kind of flair is one reason I love Byway. Packing the wakppu salt bread like real fruit, seriously so clever, lol. From salt bread to egg tarts to financiers (small almond butter cakes), the menu is really varied.

And after dujjonku earlier this year, the hottest dessert was butter rice cake! But at Byway it's not just butter rice cake, it's injeolmi (roasted soybean powder) butter rice cake..💕💕
Financier gift sets

Honestly, salt bread and baked sweets are Byway Bakers' legends. Didn't know that, right? Familiar to everyone but tastier, enjoyable by everyone but more special. That's why the gift sets are the best for giving!!!
The truly tempting fresh peach yogurt wakppu salt bread has bright, kitschy packaging too, so you just have to buy it right away, lol.

Takeout only, so I ate on the bench next to the shop
Byway Bakers Byeollae Branch is takeout only, so I walked out with two bags full. Eating on the street, let's go!
How was I supposed to resist this look, lol. I couldn't even wait to get indoors, so I found the bench right next door and ate like a homeless person.

Dubai salt bread, ₩7,500, packed with kadayif
Byway Bakers' Dubai salt bread is ₩7,500, and the salt bread is split open and stuffed full of kadayif (shredded pastry)!!!!! I've been totally possessed by Dubai lately T_T

Ah, this crunchy crunch is why we eat it... A real flood of kadayif, you keep crunching, holy mama T_T This is why I can't quit Dubai. Byway's crazy charm is that it's full of filling, and
the plain salt bread layers themselves are insanely good

Their principle is to serve freshly baked bread and desserts in the freshest state, so the salt bread made that day tastes crazy good T_T

Fresh peach yogurt wakppu salt bread, ₩8,500, and my dessert-newbie friend's reaction
The wakppu salt bread (fresh peach yogurt) is ₩8,500. On top of that delicious salt bread!!!! they pile fresh peach (real fruit) and yogurt cream, and then add a thick wakppu chocolate coating over it, so

even my friend who doesn't like desserts went wide-eyed 👀👀 This is a total dessert newbie, an ordinary person who didn't even know wakppu salt bread existed, lol. I gave them their first experience with Byway's, and I'm worried their standards will get way too high, hahaha.

2 wakppu salt breads, 1 dujjonku, 1 Dubai salt bread, 2 coffees and an egg tart: all gone.
