Sangam perilla shabu kalguksu, 11,000 won early lunch: Deungchon
Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Sangam Branch is a shabu kalguksu (hot pot with knife-cut noodles) Korean restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Woori Technology building in Sangam-dong, Mapo, Seoul. Arriving with her mother at 11:30, before the lunch rush, the writer ordered the 11,000 won perilla shabu set and ate it as a course: vegetables, mushrooms and potatoes, then beef, then fresh-cut kalguksu noodles, and finally fried rice simmered with extra broth until it was as loose as porridge. For an unhurried meal at Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Sangam Branch, go before 11:30am or after 1pm.
