Ansan taco restaurant trio set and mozzarella sticks: The Taco Booth

I finally made it to The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch, already famous after appearing on Master in the House!

Where is The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch, and when is it open?

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is located at 56 Gwangdeokseo-ro, 1F Unit 111, Danwon-gu, Ansan, South Korea, open Mon–Sun 11:30–22:00 with a break time from 14:30–16:30. Closed every Wednesday, and takeout is available.

🚗 It's right next to the Gojan-dong Homeplus, and there's no dedicated parking, so you'll need to use the nearby public parking lots!

There's no waiting app here — if there's a wait, they just write your name on a chalkboard.

Inside The Taco Booth: atmosphere and seating

The interior of The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch really felt like I'd landed in Mexico haha, so foreign — they'd decorated it so well~

There's also storage space under the chairs for your belongings, which is great if you've got a jacket or bag.

From set menus to a whole range of tacos, plus poke and wraps for anyone dieting — it was so good! There are tons of side dishes too, so much so that it's hard to decide what to order haha.

Beer and drinks worth coming back for at night

And here's the reason I wanted to come in the evening — they have such a wide range of drinks! Beer, of course, plus highballs, shots, and even non-alcoholic options! You can try things by the glass first and then buy a whole bottle if you like it, so if you want to pair drinks with your tacos, keep this in mind!

What we ordered at The Taco Booth and what it cost

Ordering is done at the kiosk with prepayment! They also have lunch menus like a poke set and a Master in the House set~~

After ordering, you grab what you need from the self-serve bar — wet wipes, plates, forks, spoons, even gloves!!

One nice thing about The Taco Booth Ansan is that even though they have taco gloves, if you'd rather eat with your hands, you don't have to go to the bathroom — there's a sink right in the store you can use! The owner's attention to detail really stood out haha.

Taco trio set 18,300 won — gambas, chop steak, Italian ham

The taco trio set (gambas, chop steak, Italian ham) looked so pretty I wanted to photograph every angle 🤍

Let me walk through gambas / chop steak / Italian ham in order:

• 🦐 The gambas taco has three big shrimp, plump and super fresh!
• 🥩 The chop steak has a generous portion, not tough at all, and goes so well with the tortilla!
• 🥓 The Italian ham taco, introduced by Fabri, has authentic Italian cold cut mortadella with a nutty pistachio kick! The ham was less salty than I expected and paired really well with the sauce, but it's a limited item only available through August 17, so sad!

Picadillo quesadilla 13,500 won

It comes with chipotle and cheongyang mayo sauces haha. I always order quesadilla at a taco place, and with the extra cheese on the outside, cheese lovers go crazy for it... that's me haha. The cheese crisps up on the outside, crispy outside and soft inside 💗

The chipotle sauce is spicy, so if you can't handle spicy food, I'd recommend the cheongyang mayo instead!

Whole mozzarella cheese sticks 4,900 won

The whole mozzarella cheese sticks that were all over social media are now available in Ansan too!! The sauce on the outside looked like chili sauce and I'm not exactly sure what the powder was, but it was insanely addictive.

Can you see the cheese stretching? When you bite into it, the cheese pulls so long it looks incredibly delicious. The cheese itself was nutty and chewy, so, so good!

Original fries 7,800 won

You can't eat tacos without fries, right haha. I love this thin style of fries — kind of like a thinner version of Mom's Touch fries, super crispy, and they went perfectly with the tacos. Gone in a flash!

Is The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch worth a visit?

Final thoughts‼️ Being able to try so many different things is the best part, and I was surprised how tasty and good value the menu was. Above all, the owner's thoughtful touches really stood out, and next time I want to come back in the evening to enjoy a wider variety with some drinks! I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a simple poke bowl or wrap for lunch, or a beer with tacos in the evening!
