Nowon PC bang date with couple seats near Madeul Station: Core PC Bang

How do you all pick date spots? The longer you've been together, the more everything starts to feel the same, doesn't it? T_T That's why I'm always hunting for new, unusual date ideas. The Core PC Bang near Madeul Station in Nowon, which I visited this time, was the first place in a while where we both said we had fun, felt comfortable and got great value, so I want to introduce it to you.

Where is Core PC Bang near Madeul Station, and is there parking?

Core PC Bang is in the basement level (B1) at 558 Nowon-ro, Nowon, Seoul, about a 5-minute walk from Exit 5 of Madeul Station. There's a large parking area behind the barrier in front of the building, and parking is free.

We came by car, and the sign was right there as we drove past, so I think you can find it easily without wandering around!

It's about 5 minutes from Madeul Station Exit 5 and 200 m from Nowon High School, so I'd guess lots of locals and students come here!

And the biggest worry when you drive is parking, right? We were worried too, so we called ahead. There's a barrier at the front, and once you're in, the parking area is huge. If you drive, just call when you get to the building and they'll raise the barrier, so parking is no problem! (And the best part: it's free.)

On my first visit I was really excited because the place had just been renovated. At other PC bangs, basement locations sometimes have a musty smell drifting up, but Core PC Bang welcomed us with a really pleasant atmosphere. (Bright and stylish right from the entrance, I'd say?)

Inside Core PC Bang: the seating layout

The inside of Core PC Bang is much bigger than I expected, with plenty of space between seats. The seating is divided into couple seats, screened-off single seats and two group rooms for 6–8 people.

Once we went in, it was far bigger than I thought. It's neat overall and the seats are spaced out, so it doesn't feel stuffy. There was also none of that typical musty PC bang smell, and the air was even fresh!

What surprised me most, and this place's biggest strength, is the many couple seats and the single seats where you can spend time comfortably alone. I've been to a lot of PC bangs with couple seats, but this was the first one I've seen with single seats.

The single seats are properly screened off, so you can enjoy your own time in comfort and total privacy. Couples can game, order food and spend time together, so instead of going to a separate restaurant-and-café course, I think you can settle the whole day at Core PC Bang as a date spot and still be satisfied!

Group rooms for gaming with friends

There are also group rooms, so it'd be great to come together with friends for a 5-stack queue or the like. Close the door and it's completely your own space!? They fit 6 to 8 people, and with 2 of these rooms, they can take up to 2 groups!

Are the restrooms at Core PC Bang clean?

The restrooms at Core PC Bang are indoors and separated by gender. One of the things women check most when going anywhere is whether the restroom is pleasant or not, right? Here the restrooms are inside, so they're very well maintained. When I went in, I couldn't believe how well they'd been kept: very, very clean and fragrant.

Core PC Bang has an open kitchen, so you can see where the food is made. The menu has lots of variety: collaboration dishes, hot dogs, burgers, noodles, cup rice, coffee, ade and frappés.

There are so many kinds of food and drinks in the PC bang, and the most important thing is how clean the place making them is, right? Core PC Bang has an open kitchen so you can see inside, which is reassuring! Maybe because of the renovation or maybe because they take good care of it, the kitchen was really clean and I felt I could eat with confidence.

There are super good-value collaboration dishes you can only eat at Core PC Bang, plus trendy hot dogs, burgers, noodles, cup rice and so much more that I wanted to eat everything from A to Z T_T What I especially liked is that even if you order ramyeon, there are lots of toppings to choose from, so you can eat it however you like!

Okay, once you've eaten, it's time to wash it down with a cold drink and help digestion, right? The drinks here come in so many kinds too! Basic coffee, ade, various non-coffee options for people who can't drink coffee, frappés and more. I tried coffee and a Mountain Dew, and the coffee was honestly as good as at a café!

And the key reason I said you can wrap up a whole date at Core PC Bang is this dessert!! You might ask, what dessert at a PC bang? But when you're gaming you sometimes get so annoyed you crave something sweet, and that's exactly when this waffle would hit the spot!

The two of us used the couple seats at Core PC Bang. We ordered sotteok sotteok (skewers of sausage and rice cake), pork cutlet kimchi fried rice rice bowl and green grape ade.

The couple seats were very comfortable, and I felt we could enjoy our time together privately and at ease!

The pork cutlet kimchi fried rice isn't just a reheated ready-made product. The cutlet was really crispy and went so well with the fried rice that it made a very tasty meal!
