Seonyudo Station burger restaurant: 6-year fan's BAS vs Double BAS

In short

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a handmade burger restaurant on Yangpyeong-ro in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Seonyudo Station. On a Friday evening, a six-year BAS Burger fan made a first visit to the new Seonyudo branch and shared a BAS Burger set (11,700 won) and a Double BAS Burger set (15,200 won) with a friend, plus the dine-in-only unlimited potato chips and sauces. Thanks to fresh vegetables and sauces that are never overdone, BAS Burger Seonyudo is a burger spot that stays satisfying to the last bite and is easy for solo diners.

I suddenly had a burger craving on a Friday evening, so I headed to BAS Burger Seonyudo. Here's my review of this Seonyudo Station favorite!

BAS Burger Seonyudo location and opening hours

BAS Burger Seonyudo is at 118-1 Yangpyeong-ro, 1st floor, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. It's open daily 11:00-21:30, with last order at 21:00.

Honestly, I first tried BAS about 6 years ago... lol, in Seongsu, and loved it so much that it's been a regular spot for me ever since, hehe. I also eat BAS often in Yeouido near my office, and this Seonyudo Station branch opened fairly recently, so this was my first visit! As a total burger addict, I eat BAS on a regular basis.

How long does it take to walk from Seonyudo Station to BAS Burger Seonyudo?

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a 3-minute walk from Seonyudo Station. Being so close to the station, it's great for a quick bite, and I saw quite a few people eating alone, so it looks like a good solo-dining spot near Seonyudo Station too.

It's right in front of the station, so it's also handy before or after a trip to Seonyudo Park, and a good place to grab takeout on the way there!!

The place is clean, with a comfortable amount of space between tables, so it's nice for a casual meal! I went on a weekday evening and there were plenty of free seats, haha.

How to order and set prices at BAS Burger Seonyudo

You can order easily by tablet right at your seat. There was a huge variety of burgers. This time I ordered the BAS Burger and the Double BAS Burger sets! When you order, you can pick toppings, sauces, extras and more.

Is the unlimited chip refill at BAS Burger available for takeout?

The James-gam potato chips, available only in BAS stores, are unlimited refills!! Unlimited chips, how is that even real? Just so you know, they're dine-in only, not for takeout, haha.

How does the standard BAS Burger taste?

The BAS Burger has a soft bun, a thick patty and a sauce that isn't overpowering, so you really taste the ingredients. I love BAS's signature handmade sauce, haha, so I usually eat either the BAS Burger or the bacon burger, and this time I went with the classic BAS Burger, hehe.

The BAS Burger came out first and looked delicious right away. The bun was soft and the patty fairly thick, and the vegetables were fresh too! The patty was juicier than I expected, and the sauce wasn't overdone, so the flavor of the ingredients came through. It wasn't too salty or greasy, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy. The price isn't high, yet it had the meaty aroma of a proper handmade burger.

How is the Double BAS Burger different from the BAS Burger?

As the name says, the Double BAS Burger has two patties, so it's clearly bigger than the BAS Burger and the meat flavor is stronger. My friend ordered it, and the size difference is obvious, lol. It looked pretty big in photos, but in person it felt even more generous.

I tried a bite too, and probably because of the extra patty, the flavor is definitely richer. The meat taste came through much stronger, and the cheese and sauce paired well with it.

French fries and cheese bacon fries

For sides we had french fries and cheese bacon fries!! Eating both together was just right, lol. It was my first time trying the cheese bacon fries, and they're salty enough that I think they'd be great with beer.

Unlimited sauce refills and fresh vegetables at BAS Burger

I love that sauces are unlimited in the store too! My go-tos are the BAS sauce and ranch sauce, hehe.

And the most important thing: the vegetables at BAS are always really fresh. It feels like a healthy burger, lol. It's never greasy or tiring, so I enjoyed it to the very end. If you're looking for a good handmade burger place in Seonyudo, it's worth a visit at least once!

Is BAS Burger Seonyudo worth going back to?

BAS Burger Seonyudo is a place I'll likely revisit whenever a handmade burger sounds good! It's great for a simple meal near Seonyudo Station, and the atmosphere suits solo diners. I recommend it to anyone looking for a burger spot in Seonyudo or a solo-friendly meal near Seonyudo Station, hehe.
