Donggok Jemyeon is a handmade-noodle kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant in Dongseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu. On a Friday visit for two, the order was Korean beef bone broth kalguksu with extra brisket topping, chogye bibim kalguksu (chilled tangy-spicy mixed noodles) and a seafood chive pancake, and the thin, springy house-made noodles with crisp kimchi were the highlight. Donggok Jemyeon is the kind of place where two people can trade spoonfuls of rich bone broth and bites of tangy noodles all through one meal.
