Myeongdong pork belly restaurant, kimchi stew finish: Yuktongnyeong

Yuktongnyeong Myeongdong Main Branch is a charcoal-grill pork restaurant a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Myeongdong Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Visiting on a weekend outside the lunch rush meant no wait for one serving of samgyeopsal (pork belly), one of mokssal (pork neck), mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodle soup), and a finishing kimchi stew made with a whole head of napa kimchi cut at the table. Staff grill the thick-cut meat and even plate pork belly and pork neck on separate sides, so Yuktongnyeong is a solid pick for proper Korean BBQ in Myeongdong.
