Ibangin is an izakaya near Sindang Jungang Market in Jung, Seoul, where I tried kushikatsu, cumin stir-fried lamb, and two udon dishes. The crisp, lightly battered fried items and well-balanced dishes stood out, and the softly lit space felt suitable for a date or group gathering.

Jung, Seoul cooking bar for weekend wine and pasta: Hey Jinny

Hey Jinny is a cooking bar on the second floor near Euljiro 3-ga Station Exit 10 in Jung, Seoul. I visited at 3 p.m. on a weekend for wine by the glass, a rum and Coke, oil pasta, and eohyang gaji; the cozy setting and nutty pasta stood out, and even the crispy eggplant worked for me.
