Seonleung eel bowl lunch: half portion falls short, go whole — Manmok
Manmok is an eel rice bowl restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, about 273m from Seonleung Station Exit 2, near the Daechi-dong restaurant alley. Over lunch with her boyfriend the writer ordered one half portion at 26,000 won and one whole portion at 39,000 won, and the half portion left her hungry, so she recommends the whole bowl. Manmok uses 100% Gochang freshwater eel steamed then grilled Kanto style, so it is tender with no fishy smell, and has bar seats for solo diners plus dinner-only dishes for group meals.
