What kind of restaurant is Polia in Gimpo?
Polia is a restaurant in Unyang-dong, Gimpo, and it has pretty much everything: steak, wood-fired pizza, pasta and salad. Weekend rolls around and you wonder what to eat in Gimpo, right? We've all been there. It's also an easy trip over from Seoul.

On top of that, parking is easy and access is good, so it works for a date or a family meal. Today I'm sharing an honest review after ordering a bit of everything and digging into each dish. Spoiler: the wood-fired pizza is the real deal, and the steak, well, need I say more? haha If you read to the end, your "what to eat in Gimpo" worries are over. Let's get started!
Polia in Unyang-dong, Gimpo: parking and access
Polia sits in Unyang-dong, Gimpo, so it's no trouble to get here from Seoul. A restaurant like this was hiding in Unyang-dong all along? I'll start by praising the location.

No worries about traffic, just glide over and pull into the parking lot. Done!

Easy parking might not sound like much, but when eating out, nothing matters more. Anyone who's circled around hunting for a spot and ended up in a bad mood knows what I mean, right? So I feel relieved whenever I find a place like this. It's just right for a Gimpo date or a family meal.

Is the interior good for kids?
Polia's interior is spacious and relaxed, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant that works with children. The layout lets you sit comfortably without worrying about the next table. The atmosphere is clean without being over the top, so it suits any kind of gathering.
Appetizer garlic bread and tagliata salad with chuck flap steak
Once we sat down at Polia, garlic bread came out first as an appetizer. They were serious even about the appetizer.

It seems like a small thing, but it sets the first impression. Crispy outside, moist inside, with garlic flavor soaked right in, so I was in a good mood from the start. Honestly I wanted to keep ordering refills of just the garlic bread, but the main dishes were waiting, so I held back haha

Then the tagliata salad arrived. It's a salad that isn't really a salad, because it comes topped with chuck flap steak. Fresh greens and tender steak in one bite... and the steak, need I say more! The meat juices and the fresh tang of the salad balance each other perfectly, so I kept reaching for more without any heaviness.
Nostalgic squid ink pane cream pasta, bread and all
Next was the dish I'd personally been waiting for most: Polia's squid ink pane cream pasta.

You know pane, right? Cream pasta served inside a bread bowl, that nostalgic dish. Every time I see pane it reminds me of the old days, and I'm just happy to see it.

The cream was so rich and nutty that after finishing the pasta, I dunked the leftover bread in the cream and scraped up every last bit. I ate every piece of that bread, no regrets.

How is Polia's handmade pepperoni wood-fired pizza?
Today's highlight was Polia's handmade pepperoni pizza.

Generous cheese on a chewy crust, and because it's baked in a wood-fired oven, the feel is totally different. Slightly charred and crisp outside, chewy inside.
One bite and you get that authentic wood-fired pizza feeling. The saltiness of the pepperoni blends with the cheese, and this combination simply can't fail. If you've been looking for wood-fired pizza in Gimpo, I sincerely recommend Polia.
How big are the portions? We took the leftover pizza home
Portions at Polia are generous. We ordered salad, pasta and pizza and couldn't finish it all. Generous portions, generous satisfaction!

Honestly, it was so much food that I was about to burst, so I ended up taking the pizza home haha I reheated it the next day and it was still delicious. I can confidently call this good value for money. With steak, pasta and salad all on the menu, you won't argue even if your group has different tastes.

Not sure what to eat in Gimpo? Try Polia
So the conclusion: if you're wondering what to eat in Gimpo, it's Polia. A great Gimpo steak spot and pasta spot, plus wood-fired pizza. It's an all-rounder that works for dates, family meals, and with kids. If you're planning a weekend outing in Gimpo, put Polia on your list. Enjoy everything from garlic bread to steak salad, pane and wood-fired pizza, and you won't regret it!
