Mokpo hangover soup restaurant, oxtail vs doganitang: Mujinjang
Mujinjang Sik-yuk Kkori Gomtang is a beef soup restaurant near Peace Square in Mokpo, run by the same family for three generations since 1976. A couple ordered one bowl of kkori gomtang (oxtail soup) and one doganitang (beef knee cartilage soup) to compare: the meat on the tail bones was tender and clean-tasting, while the doganitang broth came out a little richer. Neither soup is spicy, so both work well as hangover food, and with soju and beer at 3,000 won a drink alongside costs little.
