Daecheon Beach pizza pub for two: ale & lemonade at Daecheon Brewery

Today's story is about a great place I found while visiting Daecheon Beach in Boryeong. I'd been craving pizza and good craft beer for a while, and I heard about a place called Daecheon Brewery, so I went. I ordered pizza and it was so good it could put dedicated pizza shops to shame, so I really wanted to tell you all about it. I was really satisfied, and I'd happily go back.

What kind of place is Daecheon Brewery?

Daecheon Brewery is a restaurant that makes craft beer, and it runs a brewery too. They reportedly brew their craft beer with mud, a Boryeong specialty. It's near Daecheon Beach, so it's easy to stop by on a beach trip. It has its own moody, atmospheric vibe, which makes it a really unusual and great spot for a date.

Walking into Daecheon Brewery felt like arriving at a resort, and since I was on my way back from the beach, it felt even more like a seaside holiday. Photos come out really pretty here. The platter, wood-fired pizza and beer go really well together. There are also non-alcoholic drinks and coffee, so you can visit it like a café too.

It seems like a lot of TV crews and YouTubers have come to eat here. There's also a beer made with rice from Boryeong, so I took a photo of it.

The place is just so pretty, isn't it? It looks like they recreated the restaurants you see at resort destinations like Bali. The atmosphere is great, the food looks delicious, it's perfect for photos, and it would be a great place to bring kids too. It really feels like being on another holiday.

What did two people order at Daecheon Brewery?

Two of us visited and ordered a one-person platter and the Diablo shrimp pizza. Daecheon Brewery is a pizza place at heart, so you absolutely have to order the pizza. It's honestly so good it beats the specialists.

Daecheon Brewery merchandise and bottled beer gift sets

Daecheon Brewery sells a huge range of merchandise, and there's also a gift set of six bottled beers, so I took a photo. It was so good that I packed up about three bottles on my way out. There's a set with Daecheon Gold Ale and a Signature Collection set, and they're hugely popular as souvenirs from a Boryeong trip.

The bottles are so pretty too, so they make great gifts.

Can you bring kids or pets?

Daecheon Brewery reportedly allows pets if you can carry them in a bag. They also reportedly have high chairs for little ones, so it sounds good for families too.

How was the Diablo shrimp pizza?

This is the Diablo shrimp pizza I ordered at Daecheon Brewery. It's topped with spicy crushed pepper, plump shrimp, jalapeños and pepperoni, and it was really, really spicy and savory, with a chewy, delicious dough. The quality was so good that I'd believe it came from a wood-fired pizza specialist that also sells craft beer, and I wanted to go back for it. It went so, so well with the beer.

Try mixing ale with lemonade

For drinks I ordered lemonade and an ale. The ale at Daecheon Brewery has a fruity aroma, so it was really refreshing, and being craft beer, its smoothness really stood out. It was a great combination with the pizza, and the sausage that came with it wasn't cheap-tasting sausage at all but tasted premium, so it paired really well with the beer too.

The lemonade was refreshing and delicious too, and since the ale tastes fruity, right? When I mixed in a little lemonade, it was so, so good. Highly recommended.

Daecheon Brewery has a great atmosphere and the food is so good with drinks that I think it would be wonderful for a family meal too. Photos come out pretty however you shoot them, so it was the kind of place that's great for a date and for making memories.

Would I go back to Daecheon Brewery?

It was so good that I scraped up every last bite, down to the final slice. Whenever I visit Daecheon, I'll definitely go back to Daecheon Brewery with other friends.

It was so good that I bought bottled beer from Daecheon Brewery to enjoy at home and to give one bottle to a friend.
